I think BB were right to warn Ashleigh and Scott re the offensive comments about Deana.

If they had been having a serious conversation and made an ignorant remark about eating with hands etc it would have been deemed just that, an ignorant remark but the two of them were laughing and making fun of Deana.

Absolutely disgraceful, I can't understand some young people, it's almost like they don't live in our multicultural society. There is no excuse!

Didn't Jo, on that infamous Celebrity BB make similar comments about Shilpa?

The vast majority of those who think otherwise just happen to be on an anti-Deana tirade so it suits their cause to claim that poor little Ashleigh and Scott were falsely accused and hard done by.
They got off lightly if anything! :hugesmile:

The things you write about make it obvious that you are not a young person. But the context of your posts generally make me think that although you are mature in age, you are in fact extremely immature when it comes to your personality.

It was ignorance on Ashleighs part...it was not racism.

It wasn't ignorance, Ashleigh knew what she was talking about. Instead it was picking up on a cultural practice and saying it in a snidey derogatory way which therefore makes it racist.

BB were correct to address the comment and they done so in the right way.

It needed a light reprimand but I cannot resist a comparison with a previous incident which received an even lighter reprimand.
Conor, in a massively deliberate show of violent temper, threatened sexual violence and vicious reprisal with no mitigating circumstances at all.

Ahh yes, the good old days. Back when you could see a quite legal sign in the windows of pubs and B&Bs "No Blacks, No Dogs, No Irish". Happy days, eh?
