Should I go to the police or leave it?
 

Basically to try and make a long story short, I was out today with my friends and everybody was just standing in this massive park that we always drink in every weekend - so I was standing with my friends keeping myself to myself.

When suddenly, some bitches come up to me and start dragging up drama that occurred weeks ago - I dismissed them, told them to leave me alone etc and went back to my mates.

Next thing, a whole crowd ran over - cornered me into a bush thing and TWO 21 Year Olds attacked me, punched me and then eventually kicked the face of me.

So yes - basically I had to run out of there by myself, pretty ******ed up. Now everyone is telling me to call the police and get a claim, and get the bastards locked up.

However, if I do this I run the risk of getting a name for myself for 'telling' and it could potentially lead to worse things.. I don't know what to do guys!

Make sure you have some kind of (unbiased) witness... the police'll probably try to hush it up and not bother otherwise ¬_¬

Patrick, you're the victim of a crime, the last thing you should do is keep quiet and let them get away with it - it'll make them feel like they can do it to you and/or other people with no consequences. Go straight to the police; if they so much as lay another finger on you it'll ruin their defense and they'll suffer worse consequences. Please, call the police now, tonight, don't wait until the morning, the sooner they take your statement the sooner they can lift the two guys and get the ball rolling. It took my assault case almost 18 months to reach a court and the guy just pled guilty to get off with a slap on the wrist but I did the right thing. If you don't do anything, they'll be consequence free to do it to another person. Please, call them now. I hope you're okay!!

(Although this would never happen to me... all this stuff seems to happen to you even though you're the same age as me)

I would report them, for both yourself and any other who maybe will have to put up with such assualts from them in the future.

Personally I don't think you should call the police for the reasons you stated, what goes around comes around and they will surely get their karma.

Assault on a minor is a serious offence call the police patrick, don't be afraid of the repercussions they should not be allowed to get away with that.

You don't live near the RAAD or anything do you? Just be careful they're not connected to them or people like that.

If not definitely report it.

Get some witnesses and call the cops, these people have assaulted you and you should not let them get away with it because they might do it to someone else but I can understand your concern about being labelled a grass etc but it's about justice if you let the police deal with it...

Are your injuries visible? Have you told your parents?
