Card Games
 

Hey guys, need a favour. In the hostel and we have a few days of storms ahead of us and we have a pack of cards. We have several card games that we already play such as poker, crazy 8's, ****head, President etc.

Just wondering if you lot have any other good card games that you could suggest. :hugesmile:

I know a couple but not what they are called, I'm sure there's a website with listed games, rules and how to play etc?

I just found a game called 500 and another called Camp (the irony).

My favourite drinking card game (apart from ring of fire obvs) is pyramid.

You arrange 16 cards on the table like:


face-down obvs. you then have to go from one end to the other, turning them over, without revealing a picture card or ace (Jack, Queen, King, Ace). If you do get one, you have to drink, and then start again (putting new cards face-down on the ones you've turned over).

Hearts, Cheat, Solitaire (my dad always called it Patience) and go fish :love:

gin? Cant remember what its called but you have 7 cards initially, you pick up and discard a card each turn till you have either a run all the same suit or a prial. 1st to get this is the winner.
Example 4,5,6,7 of hearts and 3 10's

'Crash' or 13 card brag, sort your hand into 4 lots of 3 ..prial, run, flush, pair. Point for the player who has the best 1st, 2nd,3rd and 4th hand. If 1 player wins all four thats a crash.

3 card brag is good too play for chips, money or matches.

Hearts/Chase The Lady (Black Mariah?) we play it at College sometimes

Emm, have you played Old Maid or Gin Rummy?

Canasta is my favourite but it takes ages to learn.
