One thing C5 got right

I'm actually quite pleased they're keeping the HMs the same bunch from the start, I used to always hate having to get used to loads of new people to dislike from BB7-BB11 with most being pointless additions. I like that C5 have toned down on adding new HMs pointlessly halfway through the series and have kept the whole cast originals. Good job on that one I suppose!

WozMan 23-07-2012 02:44 AM

I guess they figured on nipping that in the bud by adding in extra HMs at the start. As well as the WIld Card coming in day 4.

Saved us a good job of having to deal with a bunch of Maysoons,Jontys,Cougar Jos,Davids and Spirals. I salute C5 on this one.

Yeah it seems unfair that someone who hasn't had to face all of the same drama as the rest of the housemates should be eligible to win when the enter the house at a way later time.

People entering on Day 40-60 on a 70-95 day series being aloud to win is a travesty, shouldn't have been aloud.

Beverley 23-07-2012 02:55 AM

I liked Jamie tonight :D

Jords 23-07-2012 02:56 AM

I like a newbie or 2 after 4 weeks to shake things up a bit, but this series didnt need it and Im glad Ch5 didnt chuck somebody in for the sake of it.

swinearefine 23-07-2012 03:40 AM

I like new housemates. It changes the dynamics and shows new sides to the housemates. I don't care whether they put them in after a few weeks or a few weeks before the final, I just like to see new faces at some point.

Agreed, new housemates are always terrible (bar a small few - Aisleyne, Sara, Bea) I don't think they change much at all.

waterhog 23-07-2012 08:40 AM

it has been a great mixed selection and great BB have stepped back and let it roll.

armand.kay 23-07-2012 08:48 AM

Not much contact form the outside word .

Black Dagger 23-07-2012 11:55 AM

Yeah C5 haven't got everything wrong... a LOT yes, but not everything, I don't think people give them enough credit tbh.

Nedusa 23-07-2012 11:57 AM

I'm not a great fan of adding 2 or 3 new housemates 3 weeks into the show, but if a series is starting to turn into a snoozefest then its a good way to shake up the house and inject a bit of life. Usually the new housemates are allowed to win and therefore straight away you have the original housemates a bit peeved and the new HM have to work really hard at "fitting" into the House. More often than not they form a group amongst themselves or join with one of the groups already established, either way it can refresh a series that is seriously going down the pan.

What I did object to in this current series was the timing of adding 1 new housemate after evicting 1 HM after only a few days. Also the unfair and unjust way in which that HM (Victoria) was evicted ie nominated for no reason and evicted by a public who hadn't really had time to see how she blended into the house was ill conceived, badly thought out and downright unfair, if I had been Victoria I would have waited until Friday Afternoon and then walked......!!!!!!!

mkbb 23-07-2012 12:29 PM

New housmates should only be introduced if there are walkers/ejectee's who have led to the number of housemates being below what it should be.

King Gizzard 23-07-2012 12:31 PM

Nah, new housemates freshen it up and stop the dull repetitive storylines

Vladimir 23-07-2012 12:55 PM

BB11 was the wost.

No walkers this season, so no need to add to the house.

sarah78 23-07-2012 02:46 PM

I hate it when new housmates come in, i don't like that, especially when they've done like 4 weeks and a new HM comes in, i don't like walkers either, if you don't think you can handle it then don't go in, when thousands of people have been trying to get in and would love a place in there.

Munchkins 23-07-2012 02:50 PM

Definitely
I hate new housemates :(

If a housemate walks or is ejected, that is the only reason a newbie should be brought in

I agree about the walkers, but what makes it worse is that BB panders to them after the show allowing them their week or so on the aftershows. Shabby being a prime example. They walked away from their BB experience and airtime, so they shoulodn't be allowed more airtime afterwards.

Withano 23-07-2012 03:05 PM

I like new additions! It's too late now but if they were to add a few in week three or four we could have had some double evictions too! Disagree with this thread completely.
However C5 were completely right about vote to save. Can you imagine; Lydia leaving week one, Arron leaving week two and Conor leaving whichever week he was up. We'd have one hell of a boring house to watch right now.

Andrew gave us one of the best tasks of BB altogether :worship: Legend

Laura shouldn't even be recognised as a housemate
