women footballers should be paid the same prizes as men

all prize money should be equal for women as for men

just like tennis

the same for all sports, golf, snooker, cricket, boxing, darts, rugby, everything

and of course all disabled champions too MUST by law all be paid the exact same prize money for every single competition....this is the equality demanded by the tennis feminists, so if it applies to tennis grand slams, then why not everything else too?

No, nobody cares about womens football.

King Gizzard 25-07-2012 11:11 PM

There's nowhere near as much interest in woman's football though so it will never happen. Male football player wages are paid for by the massive sponsorship deals which you will never get in women's football.

Women's tennis is much nearer the standard of the men's and they play at the same tournaments as men, thus the same kind of sponsership pay for both men and women's games.

that is factually worng....womens tennis brings in 4 times less to the game, the corporate demand for mens finals at wimbledon is 4 times more valuable, the difference is even bigger at most other tournaments, but this is ignored by the politically correct radicals....the ONLY difference is they play on the same court

Women's football is just terrible, could only watch about 5 minutes of it today

so is womens tennis compared to mens, but they still earn the same prize money for playing less than half as long for half the sets?

Did you see the GB vs. New Zealand attendance? There were about 20,000 people there, for the first event of the Olympics, which included the host nation. That is awful.

This thread is silly. Womens football is nowhere near the standard of men's football and there is very little interest in womens football. To say that the women players deserve the same money as the men earn is laughable.

InOne 25-07-2012 11:30 PM

Womens football :joker:

Don't know about worldwide but at Wimbledon the crowds they pull in are fine.

Compare the crowd the womens football match pulled in earlier tonight... Even non-league teams can manage that

Jayson 25-07-2012 11:40 PM

btw we have a Football Forum for a reason

MTVN 25-07-2012 11:44 PM

They've basically been giving away tickets to the women football as well and there's still barely anyone going, got 9 tickets for Team GB's game on Saturday from a raffle and don't plan on using them

I will settle for £30 a ticket as a special forum price :idc:

Novo 25-07-2012 11:44 PM

I'll take them

Shaun 25-07-2012 11:45 PM

i watch a lot of it today there should also swap shirts at full time

the truth 26-07-2012 01:31 AM

i think the argument here proves how stupid the argument is that demands women tennis players get paid the same prize money as men despite, 1) playing 2 fewer sets 2) despite playing for less than half as long 3) despite the quality being enormously lower and 4) despite bringing in over 4 times less money into the sport of tennis.

Well not as in standards of tennis, but the gap between women's and men's tennis as in interest in the sport is significally less than in men's and women's football
