What on earth would you need to wear wellies for if you don't live on a farm?

My in laws used to own a farm, now they live in a smaller property but still breed animals and birds so I need wellies for when i'm helping out, especially when its raining/snowing.

I walk the dog in wellies nearly everyday so yes :D

No they're a bastard to get on and I can never find size 14
