Who will win the olympic mens and womens football?

Well as the olympics has just kicked off whats your thoughts on who is going to win the medals?

i think brazil will win the mens, sadly i dont think team gb are strong enough if they come up against the likes of brazil or spain, as proven in the friendly before brazil are too strong for them.

i have been impressed with gb women, however brazil and usa will be strong contenders as well.

Smithy 29-07-2012 12:31 AM

men and women

rachnufc 29-07-2012 12:34 AM

great input smithy... i take it you got fed up with your colouring book tonight?

Benjamin 29-07-2012 12:35 AM

He threw it away in a rage as he can't keep within the lines. :bored:

I also think Brazil will win both.

rachnufc 29-07-2012 12:37 AM

Brazil are very strong.. will be interesting to see how the gb womens team do against them in there final group game thou. :-)

MTVN 29-07-2012 12:39 AM

We won't come close in the mens, probably go with the predictable answer and say Brazil. Not watched much of the womens but looks like we've got a better chance in that, was watching France's 5-0 win over North Korea and they actually looked really good as well

There's an Olympic Football thread in the Olympics sub-forum as well btw http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/foru...d.php?t=206174

They go great with soy milk and a chai latte on the side.

Men - I fancy Uruguay to take it.
Women - Team GB have a very good chance from what I've seen so far, but I'd probably say USA.

Uruguay will win the mens, easily.

Dunno about the womens, can't be bothered with it.

Wildcat! 29-07-2012 03:55 AM

I put a bet on senegal at 32/1. :)

Ryan57 29-07-2012 06:02 AM

Team GB of course.

Shaun 29-07-2012 08:22 PM

hmm after today it's Brazil's to lose in both genders

Locke. 29-07-2012 08:46 PM

Still holding faith in Uruguay. Suarez and Cavani will no doubt hit their match fitness and form when they come up against GB :idc:

BBfanUSA 29-07-2012 09:58 PM

Men Brazil
Women USA, wouldn't be surprised if it's Brazil or Japan. It's going to be US because they want to redeem for losing the WC when they could've locked it up 4-0 in the first 20 minutes

BBfanUSA 17-08-2012 01:30 AM

Well, necessary bump.

Hah, was so right when I said it would be Amurrica winning Women's Gold.
No one said Mexico for Men's Here, glad they won though

CONCACAF representing!
