'Grand Theft Auto 3' releasing on PSN...
Grand Theft Auto 3 will be released on the PlayStation Network next week, Sony has confirmed.
http://i2.cdnds.net/11/42/gaming_gtaiii.jpg Available as a PS2 Classic in next week's PlayStation Store update, the game will be a straight port of the original, and not an HD remake with Trophy support, reports Eurogamer. Launching on July 31 for $10 (£6.30), a European release is yet to be confirmed, although it is possible the title will be a part of next week's PAL update on August 1. Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City were re-rated for the PS3 in June. It was the second time that the ESRB, which is the North American ratings board, had assigned age ratings to the PS2 games this year. The launch of Grand Theft Auto 3 would suggest a Vice City release is not far behind. The PSN re-release follows the commemorative Grand Theft Auto 3: 10th Anniversary Edition, which launched on mobile devices late last year. Available for iOS and Android, the game featured updated visuals as well as touchscreen controls and autosave functionality. |
The ps2 GTAs have aged horribly, I shan't bother buying it, I'd rather keep my memories of it intact and perfect.

About time, although our PSN sucks anyway as they take ages to put any good games on there.
