The Channel 5 Announcer guy said before BOTS last night......

The Channel 5 Announcer guy said before BOTS last night something along the lines of;
"and now we join Bit on the Side where the White Room housemates are in for a shock when BB springs several unexpected live tasks on them" :conf:

Kinda' confirms that they must have been planning something which they pulled the plug on at the last minute.
I'm surprised no one else has mentioned what the guy said.

Did anyone else hear it because i definitely, 100% did, without a shadow of a doubt.
Just the fact that we had an extra 15 minutes on each of the two shows says a lot.

I did hear something exciting from the announcer, I hate all the secrecy

Niamh. 02-08-2012 10:23 AM

I missed the very start so I didn't catch it but it did seem like they were very unprepared last night as if they had to change plans at the last minute

thesheriff443 02-08-2012 10:26 AM

yes i heard it,
i think they know conor and luke wont leave the white room as they are so desperate to win and they would stay until friday so they have had a re think.

JTM45 02-08-2012 10:28 AM

I just find it so annoying that they're just pretending that they never said that something was gonna' happen last night, not even a mention of anything to do with it on any of the BB sites!

Why have the extended shows if they had nothing planned ?
I demand an explanation!!! (but won't hold my breath waiting for one)

BigBrotherfan4ever 02-08-2012 10:28 AM

It all seems very strange to me why, they had to change things.

Gillian-73 02-08-2012 10:29 AM

I missed it but people mentioned it in the BOTS thread.

daniel-lewis-1985 02-08-2012 10:33 AM

The twist just fell flat on its arse thats all.

They didnt plan it properly and its failed leading to embaressment for them and frustration for us.

They cancelled anything they had planned and have just hoped it would go unnoticed.

Obviously they are not going to admit that they did a poor job.

Yayita 02-08-2012 10:35 AM

The PR rule book says it is always better to address the situation rather than pretend it didnt happen. What rookies they are at C5, it shows a huge lack of respect for their audience.

joeysteele 02-08-2012 10:39 AM

Well it isn't likely to be Channel 5, it will be the BB production team's decision in the main really, Channel 5 will only be concerned as to any inappropriate material being shown which if it was that should have never have been planned anyway.
It is BB themselves who design the tasks and implement them, not Channel 5,they only transmit the series on their Channel.

I honestly believe it was nothing more than sara ducking out early that scuppered the ousting of one HM live on BOTS, it would have nothing to do with the cash as that would have left only one HM in the white room until Friday which would be a bit pointless...

JTM45 02-08-2012 11:04 AM

But Sara didn't duck out early!
BB told them that one of them had to leave and Conor and Luke S chose Sara to go. Sara didn't put up much of a fight either mind you.

Also, the programme was called 'Bit on the Side -the white room live' !

I think they were deciding whether to chuck Scott out the house due to his fourth warning and were confused about what to do and how to deal with the number of housemates.

What a massive failure and disappointment.

It was probably done as a ploy to get the ratings up, I imagine.

She said she wanted to leave.(in the twitterbot)..and 10 minutes later they gathered the HMs to watch the plasma, if she had pressed the buzzer and left of her own accord as she was going to do...they wouldnt have had the "twist" to show would they?
