People are just wasting ofcoms time with this bollocks its time to knock it on the head and stop being so bitter.
go and watch something else if you dont like it you are wasting peoples time.

Obvious, Ofcom is probably easily bought.

Redway 03-08-2012 09:33 AM

Good.

joeysteele 03-08-2012 09:36 AM

We are supposed to be watching an adult themed series, OFCOM will take that into account when they investigate or get complaints too, there is a warning given at the start of both BB and bbbots as to offensive material, possible sexual nature content and nudity possibly being contained in the programming.

If people are so easily offended and then feel a need to complain, why watch such a programme and series overall.
BB have well covered themselves on the issues and the fact they will warn housemates and then ask them to leave if unaccceptable behaviour continues, is again covering all aspects necessary as to these problems that may arise from time to time.

Agreed. Warnings are enough. No one should be thrown out unless they use actual violence. :)

Most of the people complaining dont even know what ofcom do or what the broadcasting code that they are there to uphold contains.
Its crazy they should start charging a small fee to lodge a complaint that is refunded if it is upheld just to weed out the timewasters that are complaining just because they are bitter about their fave housemate not winning.

"Warnings are enough. No one should be thrown out unless they use actual violence."
Astonishing that any woman could take that attitude.
The producers are also inconsistent within the programme (ignoring the criminal law).
None of the previous ejections from the show have involved physical violence. The most famous (and what made BB a success) was for writing nominations on pieces of paper!

Anyone who complains to ofcom needs to look inside and see who they are. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

Munchkins 03-08-2012 10:38 AM

I think the Conor one, was the only thing i was fine with complaining about
the rest... no

Nasty Nick was caught cheating. That was different. But why eject someone the first time they say something offensive? I feel channel 4 was way too harsh. Channel 5 has got it just right. :)

Sadly it's the Mary Whitehouse syndrome - forcing yourself to watch something just so you can complain about it. Just turn off if you don't like it and leave Ofcom to deal with things that really merit a complaint.

Thats too sensible stop it :joker:
Its crazy behaviour but then again C5 tryed to change BB to try and appeal to a pretty low rent chav towie type audience and now those vegetables are wetting their nappys at the chance to complain.
It was kind of inevitable.

Ha Digital Spy. It's normally them who start all the silly ofcom complaints.

LOL Sorry bob forgot where I was for a moment then - I shall remove my sensible hat and get back to forum ranting :)

Vicky. 03-08-2012 12:56 PM

The only thing I would say was possibly worthy of a complaint was conors rant/the way it was handled. But I dont know ofcoms code or anything so I dont even know if that would breach it.

Is that included above in the not worthy of investigation? Because DS reckon that is actually udner inverstigation and there was like 1k+ seperate complaints. Though how they get the figures I will never know

Josy 03-08-2012 01:00 PM

Great news.

Roy Mars III 03-08-2012 01:05 PM

No as far as i know that one is under investigation but the ofcom report listed it as around 300 complaints in a previous report nowhere near the 1000 reported i will have a rummage see if i can find it.

One of the funniest things about it is that they didnt have to show him saying that but in an attempt to try and show it to appease the fans screaming about not showing things that were heard about from ex-housemates the "fans of the show" have possibly handed them a fine and a further need to water it down into a kids show as a thank you.

They cant win.
