Is 50K really life changing?

Does it depend on which part of the UK you live in?
To me life changing means you can give up work. I don't think you can do this on 50K.

aman201 03-08-2012 10:06 PM

agree.

Tregard 03-08-2012 10:07 PM

It's definitely substantial

Amy Jade 03-08-2012 10:07 PM

£50,000 would not change my life personally.

smeagol 03-08-2012 10:08 PM

isnt life chnaging at all. i blew 60k in just over a month.
though could be if you spent it more wisely than i did lol

Saph 03-08-2012 10:09 PM

omg is it £50,000? Ive been typing £50,000,000 all night  why did no one correct me

thesheriff443 03-08-2012 10:10 PM

of course not you are not considerwd well off with a million pounds these days

Jezzy 03-08-2012 10:10 PM

I think if you are clever with it, £50,000 could indeed be life-changing.

How?

cookiemonster 03-08-2012 10:11 PM

you could get a mortgage on a house with 50k. he said he still lives with his mum.

Patrick 03-08-2012 10:11 PM

It really isn't THAT much.

Doogle 03-08-2012 10:11 PM

I think we're lucky that Conor and his fans/family/friends are not smart people then.

Vladimir 03-08-2012 10:12 PM

Well, it could definitely make your life a bit easier, but it's not life changing.

Yayita 03-08-2012 10:12 PM

50K does not change your life, it helps pays bills really. Not even enough for a decent downpayment on a house. Plus is this the amount they pocket? or do they have to pay taxes on it?

Invest? Start a business? Take some qualifications? It can give you opportunities you would not otherwise have had.

I wouldn't say the 50K would make that life changing. He could get out of living with his mum by other ways.

cookiemonster 03-08-2012 10:14 PM

you must all be rich on here if you think 50k's nothing

smeagol 03-08-2012 10:14 PM

50k could get him a lot of epilators thats for sure

Munchkins 03-08-2012 10:15 PM

It's not LIFE changing, just nice to have it there :)

Saigon1 03-08-2012 10:15 PM

It would be life changin to me.

JamesBond 03-08-2012 10:16 PM

Most people in London drive cars that cost more than 50k, so no not where I live.
