Fastforward- How long before C5 scrap BB in favour of CBB?
 

I mean come on, we all know BB13 has been such an amazing series and I've enjoyed it from start to finish- in my opinion my favourite series since BB10.

But with all the complaints this series has bought and in general the lack of viewers in comparison to CBB- how long will it be before C5 scraps 'normal' Big Brother all-together in favour of more Celebrity versions of the show.

Now- I do not want this to happen- I HATE the way C5 seem to be cramming CBB down all of our throats and getting two series of it this year proves that- I mean why do we need another CBB and instead reducing BB13 by a few weeks. But from channel 5's point of view they love CBB and the viewers it get's and are even counting down to the launch of CBB- ignoring BB13 that's been going on for 10 weeks- BB13's final is on a monday as it is- I mean there's no hype about it whatsoever really.

I can only see C5 doing one if not two more series' of 'normal' BB, we're getting more and more CBB's every year and soon C5 will grow tired of the 70 day Big Brother and opt for more and more CBB series'.

But- I'll add a poll- I mean it's obvious what this forum will say but I'll put it anyway-
Would you rather-
- Less 'normal' BB and more CBB or
- Less CBB and more 'normal' BB

I really cannot stand CBB, its all full of Z-listers anyway who i have no interest in watching
i'd much rather have the normal BB's extended.. CBB should be a spin-off but C5 seem to act like its bigger than the normal series, which sucks.

Anybody who wants CBB over BB are ****ing morons... plain and simple.

And considering C5 are just that, I'm fully expecting them to scrap it soon and just have two CBB's a year... one in Jan & August.

Depends if every normal series will be as good as BB13. I don't want another BB12.

I like CBB more than normal BB.. :hmph: but i'd rather it just be the same, CBB in Jan, normal BB in the summer

Why don't you like BB12? I'm interested because most of this forum LOVED BB12 and I wasn't too keen either on it.

I like them both! CBB is only for a couple of weeks and so far C5 have been brilliant with the celebs in comparison to C4

I want more normal, less 'celeb'.

Off topic - but would Jem or Benedict have managed to get on CBB?

Isn't the main reason 5 have 2 CBBs a year to make the contract more financially viable. I wouldn't be surprised if they do this so they actually can afford to produce normal series of the show.

The housemates and tasks were crap. There was too much outside influence (all the tacky premiere events http://www.bimmerteam.hu/forum/images/smilies/uhoh2.gif), that day when all the z-listers came into the house was one of the most embarrassing HL show ever. Oh and too many people moaning about everything being a conspiracy against Aaron.

They've improved loads this year.

+ CBB8 was by far the worst Celeb BB ever. Sorry but it's true.

I much prefare the normal BB as opposed to the CBB. At times I don't mind the CBB but it depends on who is in the house. I am fed up of CBBs that I have never heard of or who don't have anything to do with this country. Surely we have a lot of homegrown celebrities (and not the TOWIE type) who we are famaliar with and who would offer a lot more entertainment.

I'm not sure although I'd guess that 7 weeks of CBB a year is more profitable than 9 weeks of BB. There's more media interest, higher ratings, more reasons for average viewers to watch etc and that all leads to higher advertising fees and more advertising demand. If it wasn't profit making, there's no way 5 would have 2 CBBs this year.

EDIT, also, I'm not sure 5 could get away from not airing normal BB. Either way, it's a catch 42. (Don't want BB due to it being a financial loss ~ Can't afford to air CBB without having normal BB)

The ratings for CBB are, on average, higher. I don't know if Channel 5 see this as meaning it's much better than BB because frankly, it isn't. I've always preferred normal BB as have most of us on this forum. It's a shame that Channel 5 do not let long-term fans to voice their opinion. This forum and Channel 5 disagree on a lot, and it's a shame.

im not big fan of the celeb one. its coming way to fast after this one. overkill will kill bb if they arnt careful. too much of something puts people of

Probably not long, CBB is by far 5's ratings winner...BB was amongst the top 5rated shows, i'd now say its dropped to around 7th now.

Yet it costs alot more then Hotel/Restuarant Inspector, CSI Miami/CSI, and NCIS

However, five need to reduce the format to once a summer, advertise BB properly, restore Live Feed, tinker with the format slightly and generally give a damn good reason for 3million people who show intrest at launch to stick around.

It obviously has more intrest then any other show on the channel, but for some reason people switch off. :/

Bring normal BB back to the old length of 3 months and only have CBB in January, but make it last for 2 months or something
