Will a Strong Female ever Win?

Just wondering what you all think
Will a strong female ever win big brother?
characters such as Makosi, Aisleyne, Deana..
It seems that the public only ever votes for laid back, funny females such as Sophie & Josie..

Marc 14-08-2012 03:03 PM

How dare you put Deana into a list with Aisleyne and Makosi :nono:

Kate?

She was the first female to win and she was strong, independent and funny.

The public was a lot different back then though.. i don't think we will ever have a winner like her again

Fermales should be seen not heard, they must know their place on big brother.

Totally - you'd think people would at least take a look at BB faves before commenting.

How wasn't she?

BB really need to push the "entertainment value" of the HMs

Instead of asking, whos your favourite, who do you like/dislike most etc. ask more to do with entertaining traits.

They need to shift how the general viewers think.

I wouldn't say that.

The public have generally gotten behind Lauren, had she stayed she could have won.

The winners of BB have always been unusual and haven't always been obvious from the start. The last "normal" mans-man to win was Craig, back in BB1. The rest have either gone through a real "journey", such as Brian Dowling learning about his sexuality in BB2, or the likes of Pete, who was just funny, or they were stalked like Anthony! :D

Who knows what next year will bring!

Spot on!

Unfortunately C5 doesn't seem to want that. They seem to target more of a Jersey Shore type of audience.

no

dathadiguy 14-08-2012 04:08 PM

I keep hearing words like 'journey' & 'acceptance', this isn't a charity, it's not about who needs it the most. I'm sorry if I'm being blunt but if Luke A wasn't in this series what would we have missed, what did he bring in terms of entertainment? How Aaron won last year instead of Alex is beyond me, what an achievement that was.

So nobody can even give me an answer?

Looks like I'm right as usual :pipe:

Apple202 14-08-2012 04:10 PM

So you can't give us an answer?

Looks like were right, yet again :)

Because people need to invest in someone, else they won't vote.

Who would spend money on someone that was vaguely entertaining?

For example about the only thing I can remember about Alex from last year is the spray tan task. And that was done to her, not something she did. However Aaron was compelling to watch, whether you loved or hated him. He seemed to torpedo himself at every turn, rarely have we seen someone so uncomfortable with their own surroundings. But by excluding himself, so often, he almost controlled the house, despite being disliked and ganged up on constantly. That was entertaining.

Stories and personal development get people invested. And once they start voting, they can't stop.
