I don't think that Brits get the joke yet. Mike is not sexy in any way, he's a joke, he thinks he's the hottest guy in the world and acts like he's the hottest guy in the world. that's what's so funny about him.

He's popular in America because he's a joke. All of the Jersey Shore people are JOKES, they are outrageous caricatures of guidos and pop culture, that's what's funny about them.

It will be interesting to see the British response to him. Will they get the joke?

Deep down they are endearing though, because they are so naive and so unaware of how they are perceived. Any one who has watched the entire Jersey Shore run actually ends up having real affection for them because they are decent human beings deep down. I wonder if Brits will be able to see the decent human being underneath all of the horribleness.
