Julian Clary Age 53 Star Sign Gemini Home Town London Interesting Fact In 1993, he made an infamous appearance at the British Comedy Awards, where he made an inappropriate remark about the then Chancellor of the Exchequer, Norman Lamont. Description Julian Clary was born in 1959 and is a comedian and TV personality. As a teenager, his eldest sister Frances influenced Julian, she was starting her career as a Tiller Girl and Julian was fascinated with the illusion created by her heavy make-up. Julian studied Drama and English at Goldsmith's College, University of London in 1978. He said his time at university was liberating, as he could finally be who he wanted to be. After graduating, Julian began working on the cabaret circuit in the early 80s. His act was known as The Joan Collins Fan Club, which comprised of himself and sidekick pet Fanny the Wonderdog.
