My favourite is BBC3 good docs and good shows

Decent comedy shows - Rev, Beautiful People, QI, Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle, Grandma's House, Shooting Stars, most Charlie Brooker things, Psychoville, Roger and Val have Just Got In, That Mitchell & Webb Look, The Bubble, The Thick Of It...

then good informative/entertaining shows like University Challenge, the more tolerable cooking programmes. There's nothing excruciatingly shit on it, unlike 85% of BBC Three's programming, 95% of ITV's or 97% of C4's.

Literally the only programme I've watched on C4 in the past year is Homeland, and that's not even their original show. BBC3 is fine for Family Guy & American Dad (again, not theirs) and ITV... I can't think of one show. BBC1 is great when it's not in the middle of some bloody Andrew Lloyd Webber talent show.

plus BBC2 once had the greatest evening lineup of all time: The Simpsons followed by Robot Wars :pipe:

ITV1 is by a mile the worst. It could really do with some imported programming because their original stuff is awful.

BBC1 is now a haven for awfully unfunny comedy: Life Of Riley, In With The Flynns, Citizen Khan etc. But the original drama is mostly good stuff.

Call me uncultured but I can't remember the last time I watched BBC2 for something other than Buzzcocks or Top Gear

The best thing on C4 in the past year has been Homeland, but apart from that they have too many dreadful documentaries and series like One Born Every Minute.

C5 is the best for imported drama like CSI and Person Of Interest etc. and of course it now has Big Brother.

On balance I would say it's between BBC1 and C5.
