Oh my God - I love him even more!

Ok, so, because I'm the only one of my mates who can drive and borrow a car, I was given the job of taxi the other day, to a concert in ASDA car park (bear with me, I know it sounds weird!)

It's this ASDA in Gateshead in the good ol' north of east, and it's massive, so they put on a thing for Children in Need, with people like Atomic Kitten, Sugababes, Daniel Bedingfield etc.

Also, they had Aaron (Pop Idol) Bailey - who was fantastic, and certainly gave Gareth a run for his money by doing "Suspicious Minds" with confidence, conviction, and well, a voice that could carry it off (sorry Gareth fans!)

To the point....Jonny was there, and every now and then you could see him jumping up from behind this fence, trying to see over, which was quite funny. We thought he was there to help Dr Fox (yes, Dr Fox was there, and yes, he quite scares me!) to present it, but he was there to SING (I forgot he sung)

Anyway, I just wanted to say how totally amazing he was - he really blew me away, and I didn't think he'd be very good at all. He did "Let me Entertain you" with his brother (?) and then did "I will talk and Hollywood will listen", which he sang beautifully - I nearly cried (and I'm ashamed to say it) and me and my mates where just standing there gobsmacked.

I also loved the fact that, despite the 'headlining acts' like Hearsay, Atomic Kitten (who got Jonny on stage to take Tash's part in "The tide is high" - very amusing watching him trying to dance!) and others, Jonny got the biggest roar of the night, and they were chanting for him all night as well - he looked so happy at his reception.....

He also did 30 seconds silence for Firefighter's day (which I didn't know it was yesterday - just a sidenote!)

Anyway, just wanted to share that with you - he stood 50 metres and a small child on someones shoulders away, and my mate has met him at a signing, without telling me he was doing one!

The cheek!

It always used to annoy me when people said Jonny had only gone on BB3 to get his music famous. If this had been the case surely he would have been singing all the time and acting up to the cameras musically. I even remember a few times when other housemates asked him to sing something and he didn't really want to and was a bit embarrassed.

From what you say Glitterbabe it sounds as though he has a lovely voice and I would have loved to have been there with you to hear him sing.

Good Luck Jonny

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Jonny a great singer??????

I won't say anything too bitchy but when it comes to ppl liking Jonny..................

DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR

LEE 10-09-2002 08:24 AM

Bonzo as you weren't there and therefore didn't hear him sing, how can you judge?

Glitter_babe 10-09-2002 08:27 AM

Bonzo my friend, you are truly mistaken  - if you had been there you wouldn't doubt he could sing. You may not like the particular type of music or whatever, but that boy has a lovely voice, and if you hear him you can't deny it.

I think you all should have been there!

I wasn't looking forward to going, I'm more into Greenday and Ash than poppy stuff, but I'm glad I went.

Sorry I'm not doubting you that he sounded good Glitterbabe, but I'm a bit puzzled I must admit. His singing in the house was dire and they played a snippet of a record he'd made with his band before going in the house on BBLB and that was equally dreadful. Do you think he's been having singing lessons or what???

Glitter_babe 10-09-2002 09:02 AM

No idea!

I know what you mean peachy - I only heard him sing once in the house, he seemed reluctant to do it, which is why I didn't think he'd be that good, but he was.

Note perfect.

Maybe he can only sing two songs well....?

lol

I will leave it at that, as long as you are happy........

yeha i heard atomic kitten talking abou t jonny on the radio yesterday and they were sayin how great jonnys voice was and how nice he was when he came on stage with them or something.
Aww shame i dont live in the north east coz i definately would have gone to see him if i did. Apparently he's helpin doing alot of campaigning this week for the firefighters from sept. 11 whihc is nice of him
He's doing some acting too isnt he?
So much for jonny being the one to just disapear. i mean jonny jade and kate (doing stuf on the radio on living tv) are th e only ones who are still gettin asked to do stuf in the public eye ie tv shows, radios etc...
N e ways apparently alex is thinking of doing some presenting or something... that should be interesting .....

I don't remember Jonny singing in the house except when they did that song to welcome Tim. I did think that, with him being a member of a band, he would have taken the chance to sing at every given opportunity. As he certainly didn't strike me as being the shy type, I wonder why he didn't?

Do you know the name of his band, Glitter_babe?
