I remember it from the old series and so tuned in out of morbid curiosity as to how this reboot would work.
Am not sure I will persist with it. As someone else pointed out, it just a glorified soap. The slot it occupies is where NCIS was, an action series. One other question, the original series was on BBC1, so why is it on Channel 5? Is that channel really going to be the receptacle for shows, past their time which other networks have called time on, (Like Big Brother perchance?) One of the plot twists concerning love interests seemed contrived and ott. The issue of alternate fuels, which technically is not a renewable energy source seems overly complicated. If someone wants to get what the Non-Ewing Ewing was looking for, then there are easier places to get it, when when done right would be seen as having an environmental benefit. Do the writers really not know anything about the alternate energy market? Also from the very beginning of this reboot one sees a brand new shower scene being worked out. So from what I have seen and what I remember of the old series, I still feel that this is probably one they should have left in the annals of history. |
watched it, it was pretty good, will watch again next week.
