Day 20: Shopping task: bbtv

As the housemates sleepily awoke on their last Monday in the House, they were greeted by the sight of some rather interesting props in the garden. A giant toadstool, a brightly-coloured windmill and a cheery rainbow had the housemates wondering what on earth the day would bring. Ashley got very excited, and had a little "la la laaaaa" burst of song.

In order to win that all-important luxury shopping budget, they will be starring on TV for the next two days.

Wait a minute, hold up...aren't they already on TV? Well, yes. But this task, BBTV, will see them be on TV, while they're on TV.

The housemates will all be given new roles best fitting their specific talents.

House authority Julie will be presenting BBTV News at random points throughout the day, rushing to her news desk to report breaking news bulletins whenever Big Brother plays the news theme music.

Prince Lorenzo will use his lovely story-telling skills to narrate a children's TV show called The Growlers, as Martin and Ashley play the parts of Twitchy and Itchy Growler, smiling all the while.

Those knowledgeable sorts The Situation and Harvey will be contestants on BB's quiz show Ask 100, where they will be quizzed on the public's opinion of the housemates.

Tomorrow, Coleen and Julian will be the all-smiling, all-selling hosts of shopping channel Big Brother's Big Deals. We can't wait to see their product range.

At the start of the task, the housemates will be given a DVD, which tells them how many sections they must successfully pass to receive the luxury budget. But of course, BB doesn't like to make it that easy, so they will only be able to play the DVD and find out that magic number tomorrow.

When housemates aren't starring in their own shows, they will be required to view the other shows. Well, naturally; who would want to miss The Growlers? Quite...
