Julian and Julie it's all a bit awkward isn't it?

It's like being friends with two people, one you really like and one you really dislike and the one you like really like likes the one you don't like. Isn't it?

Except I'm not friends with either of them and don't actually know them personally and I'd never be friends with Julie anyway.

But apart from that it's just like I said, isn't it? Actually wait, no it isn't.

joeysteele 07-09-2012 11:31 PM

Really easy for me, I really like both of them anyway.

yes i agree LOVE Julian HATE Julie but a worthy winer

You're describing it as if it was two friends

And you know what happens in that situation

The one stuck in the middle will have to choose one or the other

So the question should be; Julian, your fans and career or your friend and housemate ?

I think he'll choose the latter

I think he will too. He doesn't seem to see anything wrong in her behaviour even though his own character couldn't possibly be more different to hers. I think he's still caught up in the whole Bet Lynch thing.

There's also the fact he hasn't seen what we have seen. He's in for a few surprises when he watches the show back, maybe he'll change his mind once he's seen her in action.

Totally agree...I love Julian and he deserved to win but I loathed Julie but she rode on his win and got too much attention for it which in all honesty she did not deserve.
Big Brother licked her arse...whenever the truth was told Julie sat there swinging her head from side to side as if they had her totally wrong. This woman will never accept the fact that she is two faced....its a trait in people of her age who have convinced themselves for too long that they are 'queenbee'....
She sees herself a winner because our beloved Julian won...he won it on his own merit despite his love of a stubborn elderley Diva too set in her ways to see her own faults....credit to Julian but any forthcoming venture with the old crout will be deemed to failure simply because of Julie.

DONT GO THERE JULIAN...

It's not a friendship at all, it's hero worship from Julian. The relationship is very much that of servant and master, not a true and equal friendship at all. Julie is totally uncompromising.

I agree, I think they have developed as best a friendship over this CBB series as is possible to get in show business, where mostly the I love you's at speeches and when talking about other celebrities are in the main mostly false.

Julian could be his total self around Julie because she genuinely loves gay men, he also really admired her acting talent anyway so the friendship built in the house and just got stronger.

There is also a great respect from both of them as to each other too. That was something really good to see over this series.
Good luck to them both and I am sure they will be doing something on TV together in the future.
I for one hope it comes off anyway.

Nedusa 08-09-2012 08:24 AM

I adore Julian and am sooooo pleased he won, did not like the way Julie acted in the house and have posted quite a few times making my feelings on her quite clear.

However it is to Julian's credit that he stayed friends with Julie, as she did him no favours in the house wrt the other HM. In fact you could argue his tact and diplomacy with Julie may have added to his overall personality and been a contributing factor in him winning the show...!!!

Kizzy 08-09-2012 08:29 AM

his diary room description of how she attacked him in the bedroom...*shudder*
Poor guy, he was traumatized it's a wonder he spoke to her again after that :joker:

I found her showbiz "I honestly really love gay men. I don't know why. I must have a gay man's brain." ridiculous and condescending. Another empty declaration to win favour with a voting demographic.

I love them both too :D

Julian just doesn't think like everyone else (for some bizarre reason) that old ladies should be all sweetness & light, he knows that Julie can be disgraceful but that's what he loves about her & what I love too :xyxwave:

Scotty07 08-09-2012 09:16 PM

Julie & Julian.

lostalex 08-09-2012 09:27 PM

I don't think he ever liked her. he was just being nice.

You continue to hit the nail directly on the head.

I admit that they seem to be an odd couple. But then , look around you, the world is full of odd couples!
There are people on this very forum that I consider to be "pretty odd",...but I look upon some of them as friends!

I feel a sit-com coming on, in which Julie plays a has-been soap star that has all the grandeur of 'Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard', that is living in a old run down mansion that they had to turn into a boarding-house in lytham st annes, with her very camp middle aged son, who's sexuality she fervently denies to all of their guests!...?

Too old fashioned?...Well please yourselves then! :hmph:...But I love old fashioned style sit-com's...Mrs. Brown's Boys is brilliant!! :joker:

Cheers.

I get slammed for watching it but I love Mrs Brown's Boys too, I find it really good.
That is also a pretty good suggestion from you as to a series for Julian and Jule too.
