Do we take this show/ourselves too seriously?

Now the dust is settling, why do we get so riled about this show when only about 5% of the people I know even watch it and half of those are begrudging husbands/wives. People get personal on here defending/attacking people we'll never meet and whom we've either never heard of or barely remember. A colleague likened it to phoning in and joining a forum to discuss Countdown.

Yes, very likely. There again, it's hard not to get caught up in the moment as with most things.

If you think this place is bad, avoid digitalspy at all costs .

Wars have been started over less!
Human beings that's what we do. We pick sides. Then want to seek out those with an opposite view and rally with others with the same.
Man and his beliefs and all that.
What's funny is that we do it over something where the outcome is of very little consequence.

Probably but once you start avidly watching something and connect with people on it for whatever reasons, that is when it becomes more an event and part of your lives at that time.
Then when you see any possibly unfair comments as to people you have come to like and also in some cases, the need to take the further time to vote and spend money on them too.
That is when for the time it is on, it becomes more serious as to how you react to things happening on it and concerning it.

CharlieO 09-09-2012 10:53 AM

No doubt.

Apple202 09-09-2012 10:57 AM

Of course we do.

Definitley. I always watched the show because it makes me laugh and whenever people are like "he's got a gameplan!!!!" or "HE SHOULD'VE BEEN EXPELLED" or "she's not what she seems she's actually a bitch who murders BUNNIES omg" I just don't really care for it tbh.

Me. I Am Salman 09-09-2012 11:21 AM

It's a Big Brother forum, of course we're going to analyse what goes on in the house and have arguments about it, we're not all casual viewers since we all cared enough about the show to join this site. And also what else will there be to talk about?

flamingGalah! 09-09-2012 11:28 AM

Yes. Most of us get caught up in it a bit too much, but others go waaaaaay too far with their hate & spout such venom :nono:

Jake. 09-09-2012 11:33 AM

Definately.... but it's all part of the fun, right?

mkbb 09-09-2012 11:44 AM

I dont see how people can hate people in BB its just a bit of fun. Unless someone commits an act of violence etc I dont dislike anyone In BB. Its all part of the game to lie, bitch, be two faced form alliances and enemies.

Kizzy 09-09-2012 11:47 AM

I only get upset if I see people supporting HM's who exhibit aggressive behaviour...I hate violence. :(

Shaun 09-09-2012 11:50 AM

you get used to it
