2012 games - glad its over ?

closing ceremony 10.09.12

i am going to get knocked,
because i am no Mo Fara,
i am going to do 2 birds with 1 stone,
and say i am sick of the Olympics and Para.
week after week,
it was disruption by vision,
i don't look forward to much,
but i adore my soaps on television.
all day it aired,
yes it was live and not on loop,
to have a break i go to the news channel,
and its more flowing out of there hoop.
over and over again,
did anyone else get bored,
or have i shot my own feet,
with my view being flawed.
yes i can see the dedication,
i appreciate there work and commitment,
i guess it don't do it for me,
i have lost all my excitement.
now we have fireworks,
saving the earth is not priority,
so when the government tell you to recycle,
i hope you object to the hypercritical authority.
sorry for being negative,
but i won't even watch the closing ceremony,
i am glad the Olympics is over,
not again in my life time is a must be, not a if only.

( if there is anyone that agrees with the way i feel about the games please feel free to copy and paste my poem and complain to the channel that aired the games about the disruption to he tv guide and you can also send my poem to the government as like i say they are so hypocritical as they have sent millions up in smoke which is not good for the tax payer or the earth and they are always reminding us to save the earth. )

Absolutely not

Black Dagger 10-09-2012 10:34 AM

Not at all. I've loved every minute of the past month or so.

Ellen 10-09-2012 10:56 AM

Nope, i thought it was great & i enjoyed every minute of it.

I've got no time for anyone who'd take soaps over the Olympics. I could possibly agree if the soaps were half decent but all of them are so dire I think they're all pretty much unwatchable.

Livia 10-09-2012 02:47 PM

I thought the Olympics and the Paralympics were brilliant.

Redway 10-09-2012 02:50 PM

No. I loved every minute of it and the closing ceremony was absolutely spectacular. Caught the whole thing yesterday with a mate.

Coldplay, Rihanna and Jay-Z.

No! I'm gutted.... this has been the best Olympics I can remember. They've made a pretty wet, miserable summer pretty special tbh

No, the BBC coverage and interactive devices during the games was second to none.

I feel bad for saying it but I lost interest by the time the Paralympics kicked off - there was too big a gap inbetween the two events for me, so I got used to a break from it all

However, they were both extremely moving and gripping showcases of talent, skill and triumph that the likes of soaps, talent shows and shock-docs can only dream of. They made me quite proud to be British which is a rarity for me, and they were above everything really good fun to watch (but then I've always loved watching the Olympics).
