Hotel survey reveals unusual requests...

A survey from Best Western hotels has revealed some bizarre room service calls.

It was reported that one guest asked reception to send ghosts to his room, while another wanted sea salt scrub sent up to remove a botched-up fake tan.

Another made an unusual request for a ferret as they were attending a small animal show and didn't want to go alone.

Some guests wanted to ensure their belongings had a reserved place at the hotel, with requests for an extra bed for a doll, a ground floor room for a motorbike, and a place at the breakfast table for a religious statue.

Elsewhere, one visitor requested a sea view room at a Birmingham hotel, unaware that they were over 100 miles away from the nearest seaside resort.

Metro reports that requests for towels, toothpaste and razors topped the list of calls, and that a quarter of Best Western guests ordered room service.
