When you're holding a drink...
 

..and it starts slipping out of your hands, but you stop it.

it creates a panic response and you freak out, and your hand grips wildly, but thankfully you stop it. Does this happen to anyone else?

It's amazing how the human body can do that. You don't even have time to think about it, you just feel the panic and respond and react.

I love my body. I'm constantly in amazement over how my body does things. WHy is it that it can react to things without me even thinking about it? I don't know.

We are incredible machines.

yea yur right, that happens too....not so amazing i guess... lol, it's like when your toast lands butter side up yur like, amazing! but i guess it does land butter side down sometimes too...

But i was more talking about how yur body reacts in panic mode, without any conscious thought, i just think it's pretty cool.

There's nothing more annoying than some drunken **** dropping their drink all over my beautiful evening gown. :bored:

LOL! I thought when I read Alex's post... God, I've had this conversation many times, but only when I've been stoned. It usually starts off with hands... aren't hands wonderful... what a remarkable piece of engineering we are etc. etc.

No. It is a fact of life. Like saying I'm amazed by the fact I grow toe nails. Like i just don't care.

Your body is just like constantly DOING THINGS and like keeping you alive. it's amazing.

No, you don't have to be on drugs to wonder at the human body... it's just that it's a conversation I seem to have had a lot when I've had a puff. You know what I mean....

But I do finds the body amazing, especially the mind. Dreams fascinate me, I'd love to be able to record my dreams and watch them back.

yea i know, but i swear i'm not on drugs, i just wonder if my body can totally override me, and i have no say in matter, how much else does your body have control over, in more subtle ways, psychological ways.

I think it also makes sense that your body has much more subtle ways of doing things that affect your life that you arn't necessarily aware of.
