Catherine Wells-Burr: Woman on murder conspiracy charge

A woman has been charged with conspiracy to murder over the death of a 23-year-old woman found dead inside a burning car in Somerset.

Catherine Wells-Burr was discovered in her red Ford Focus in a field at Ashill near Ilminster last Wednesday.

The 32-year-old woman will appear before Bristol Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

A 31-year-old man and a 38-year-old man have been arrested over the death and remain in police custody.

Miss Wells-Burr, a graduate of Bath Spa University, worked as a business analyst in Numatic International in Chard.

Officers say it is still not clear whether she was alive when the car was set on fire.

Police have appealed for any further witnesses to contact them.

Det Insp Simon Crisp, who is leading the inquiry said: "I am still extremely keen to speak to a number of people who have not yet come forward.

"We know that there were many motorists that passed the site of this crime on Wednesday morning, and those people may have information that could help us.

"I would ask that you come forward and speak with us no matter how small you think your information may be, please let us decide."
