A Perth man has appeared in court after causing "fear and alarm" with a black pudding.

Bradley Davidson allegedly behaved in a threatening and abusive manner, before throwing the foodstuff across the room in his flat.

BBC News reports that Davidson behaved "in a threatening or abusive manner which was likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear and alarm in that you did act in an aggressive manner, shout and throw a black pudding across the room".

The 47-year-old also faces a charge of assault after kicking a 10-year-old girl on her leg on the same day, and was accused of damaging property by kicking a door, which caused a glass panel to smash.

Davidson denied the charges against him.

Stuart Richardson, procurator fiscal, told the court that the Crown was prepared for trial and that the case was to continue until October 16.

Black puddings have some weight in them if it's the full length - you'd get a 'sore one' if it was chucked hard enough.

Can't stand the stuff - horrible, horrible, horrible -even the smell of it cooking... yeuk.

I've never been anywhere near Black Pudding before so I can't comment, but it's funny hearing about a 47 year old using it as a weapon of mass destruction.:joker:
