Jayne latched on to Nicki because she knew she was popular and had survived a few evictions. She did her utmost to fuel the pete, ash and nicki thing. It backfired and now nicki has gone (Sad to say). Pete was genuinally upset.

Pete will now revert back to being the chirpy chappie he once was
prior to getting Nikki's and Lea's possessiveness of him,
and also can now sleep safely,so,he not upset at all over
Nikki's eviction.

So if Nikki was liked before Jayne:elephant: went in then being with Jayne:elephant: must be what caused Nikki to become unpopular, so it is all her fault Nikki is gone.

Well not really since Nikki isn't that popular she only barely managed to beat Sam.
