James Arthur blasts Digital Spy forum "lowlifes"

X Factor live finalist James Arthur has launched an attack on Digital Spy forum users on his Twitter account.

The singer, who is among the Final 12 on the ITV1 reality show, appeared to be angry and annoyed about comments made by X Factor viewers.

"Who are these people on the Digital Spy forums!?!?" he wrote.

"Do they have no idea that there nothing but negative lowlifes for even typing such s**t!?

"Some of these fools don't even realise how disgustingly ignorant and ridiculous there opinions are!! Get a life.

"I wouldn't normally rise to it but I'm in genuine disbelief that these clowns dare to write the s**t they write on there!"

Venting his frustration, he continued: "They should be locked up for some of the s**t they say about us lot.

"Rarely do I go on s**t like Digital Spy which is made for w**kers with no lives who wanna find out what's happening on Corrie next wk but when I do all I see is abuse! I reckon they should shut that s**t down!!"

He qualified his comments somewhat when fans of Arthur, who also use Digital Spy, contacted the singer.

"Maybe that was a bit of a generalisation, but all I meant was there is a lot of negative people on there by the looks of it," he added.

Digital Spy

I can't see things getting any better for him after this outburst. :idc:

Munchkins 02-10-2012 09:59 PM

Mrluvaluva 02-10-2012 10:00 PM

Apparently his comments were deleted soon afterwards.

Vicky. 02-10-2012 10:01 PM

Oh dear

Vanessa 02-10-2012 10:02 PM

Mystic Mock 02-10-2012 10:05 PM

His a twat for those comments tbh.

Black Dagger 02-10-2012 10:05 PM

LMAO, yeah way to alienate fans by calling them wankers.

He's had it easy on DS, he's just been called miserable, and he is, ****ing smile ffs. :bored:

Roy Mars III 02-10-2012 10:05 PM

he doesn't go on the internet much does he

King Gizzard 02-10-2012 10:05 PM

You're going to get a lot worse from the likes of NME, James

He's the only one I like, but he seems a bit of moody diva

Brother Leon 02-10-2012 10:08 PM

Top 2 now for me

Maia 02-10-2012 10:08 PM

Can't say I blame him there

Black Dagger 02-10-2012 10:08 PM

I think I'd like him a lot more if he smiled...

Like I love his song choice (if it's true) this week and he'll smash it, but I like people who are endearing to me, personality plays into it, and when you come across as a miserable twat thinking the world owes you a favour then it's not going to wash.

Ramsay 02-10-2012 10:09 PM

hissy fit
gonna be hearing alot worse than anything you read on DS james old buddy looool

Black Dagger 02-10-2012 10:11 PM

I wonder what he'd be like if he was having death threats in their thousands. :idc:

Vicky. 02-10-2012 10:11 PM

The irony of him moaning about a few people saying nasty things, while tarring a huge number of people with the same brush with his nasty comments though :joker:

Omg this summed up my feelings perfectly with a cherry on the top
and his sob story, blaming everyone else for whats happened to him

Jordan. 02-10-2012 10:30 PM

I wonder if he knows he looks like Sloth from the goonies yet.

GypsyGoth 02-10-2012 10:34 PM

I think they really should stay away from the net till the show is over.

And I've never really been on DS, but I'm sure there are loads of nice members there.

Mrluvaluva 02-10-2012 10:36 PM

He's got a great voice and I like the emotion he portrays in his performances through his music. He needs to grow thicker skin though if he cannot handle comments on the internet. Moaning about it and alienating people isn't going to make things and easier for him. Quite the opposite in fact. Dry your eyes mate indeed...

Brother Leon 02-10-2012 10:38 PM

If I was on the X Factor live shows I would probably sign up and destroy them all. Then fail to have practiced enough, go out first and get destroyed in return.

Marc 03-10-2012 06:31 AM

 not all the viewing public are DS members. They're a tiny percentage of the voting public, and they probably DID write ridiculous stuff tbh

Me. I Am Salman 03-10-2012 08:05 AM

He's unbelievably miserable

Kazanne 03-10-2012 10:34 AM

It's probably all been overblown,Chinese whispers and all that.

Comments like this is probably the reason why he snapped at his haters in the first place, but he clearly shows that he has an ego though to think that his superior to DS.

Jamie585 03-10-2012 04:58 PM

He just described himself?

Kate! 03-10-2012 05:01 PM

never liked him from the start :pipe:

Comments like that he deserves :pipe:
In his first audition IIRC, he was using living in a council flat or whatever as excuses for being a thug basically
like shut the **** up, your background does not give you an excuse to be a little ****

Marc 03-10-2012 05:47 PM

Why are people even judging him, you're clearly very bored

BizarreCharisma 03-10-2012 05:53 PM

HA!

The things said about him on DS are probably tame compared to anywhere else (probably even here) :p

Why am I even commenting when I don't even watch the X Factor :conf:

its comments like yours that he is talking about!
so what do you look like?

Mrluvaluva 03-10-2012 11:10 PM

And in today's news...

James Arthur has stood by his original claims that his mother threw him out of home at 15.

The X Factor contestant claimed that he slept rough before putting himself through foster care, but his mother has since said that this is an exaggeration of the truth.

Shirley Ashworth, 45, of Marske, told the Evening Gazette: "I think one little comment James made when put on the spot has been taken out of all proportion.

"James was a typical teenage lad and could be stroppy at times. There was probably one occasion where we fell out and he stayed on a friend's sofa - how many parents of teenagers haven't been through that?"

Arthur has now told Heat: "I think she was covering herself so she didn't look like a bad mum. But I wasn't exaggerating.

"She's my mum and I love my mum and I'm not going to cut her out my life, but I was disappointed she did that. I could have said a lot worse."

The Website that houses the forum full of low-lifes

Mrluvaluva 12-12-2012 01:05 PM

X Factor winner James Arthur has addressed his comments about Digital Spy users being "lowlifes", stating that he has "seen nothing but positive things" on the site since.

Arthur declared on Twitter at the beginning of the live shows in October that Digital Spy forum members are "fools [who] don't even realise how disgustingly ignorant and ridiculous their opinions are", before calling for them to be "locked up for some of the s**t they say".

He added: "Rarely do I go on s**t like Digital Spy which is made for w**kers with no lives who wanna find out what's happening on Corrie next wk but when I do all I see is abuse! I reckon they should shut that s**t down!"

When confronted about the remarks in a post-victory interview yesterday (December 11), Arthur insisted that he is "obviously a fan" of Digital Spy and knows that he has "a lot of fans" on the site.

"I've seen nothing but positive things from the people [at] Digital Spy... who have supported me," he said. "I've got a lot of fans on Digital Spy.

"I think my comments were more directed at the people that are given a voice that are maybe a bit negative on all these types of websites, but I think Digital Spy itself is obviously a great place for promoting music."

He then joked: "I'm obviously a fan, otherwise you wouldn't be allowed in here."

Arthur added that he does "regret certain things... said in the heat of the moment" during his time on X Factor, such as his recent Twitter spat with Frankie Boyle.

"I've never been one to pull punches and just because I'm now in the public eye I wasn't gonna [stop] standing up for myself," he explained.

"I regret certain things I've said in the heat of the moment because none of that stuff really matters in hindsight.

"It's tough... people always wanna try and bring people down and I think it's a shame."

Digital Spy

Bit of a turn around now the show is over.

Vanessa 12-12-2012 01:07 PM

He's right! :joker:

Kizzy 12-12-2012 01:16 PM

He is entitled to his opinion, some are arrogant and ignorant on these forums...
good on him!

Vanessa 12-12-2012 01:20 PM

I can't stand DS. TIBB is so much better.

Kazanne 12-12-2012 02:02 PM

I have never warmed to this guy,he seems a thoughroughly miserable sod and he should remember these people he slags off, probably could have an impact on his record sales,i really dont think he will do that well, but we'll see.

Vanessa 12-12-2012 02:06 PM
