Series 5.. Best Series?

Anyone else agree
Definitely my favourite series ever

JLS, Alexandra, Diana, Ruth, Laura, Austin

Jack_ 07-10-2012 04:10 PM

Close call between this and Series 7 but I'd put the latter just a bit higher.

S7 > S5 > S6

There were so many I liked that year. Ruth

Raph 07-10-2012 04:21 PM

I think it was the series with the most talent collectively, but my favorite series was definitely series 6, which has all of my top three contestants ever - Joe, Rachel and Lucie :)

Raph 30-12-2013 03:25 AM

Looking back it really had so much talent - JLS, Alexandra, Scott, Ruth, Rachel and Laura to name a few. The judges and level of set design were perfect too, still simple enough but looking fresh. I wish the x factor was still like it was in 2008, those were the days. It's been pretty awful the last few years.

It has to be 7 for me but 5's a close second.

5 followed by 8 <3

5 was the best ever. It had a few duds such as Bad Lashes, Girlband and Eoghan but compare them to other series' and they were alright. The talent in Ruth, Diana, Alexandra, Laura, JLS was incredible... Even the also rans such as Rachel, Austin, and Scott were alright.

I miss this series.

Diana Vickers made the series

Series 5 gave me 2 of my favourite contestants ever, Ruth and Alex

All in all, it was definitely the best series.

Black Dagger 29-10-2014 02:41 PM

Meh. I never saw this as the golden series as much as others.

S7 > S5 > S6

Two years later and I'd say 7 > 9 > 5 and this series (11) has the potential to break the top three, definitely the best bunch of finalists since Matt's year.

Odd numbered series seem to be the best

Yaas, Still the best final duet to this very day.

2008-2010 was x factor at its very best

Mystic Mock 14-12-2015 11:27 AM

Series 5 had some great technical vocalists but they wasn't very interesting.

Series 7 wins for me for being the most alternative that The X Factor has ever done, and very diversive too, I would kill for that line-up again minus Weasel and 1D.

Jamie89 14-12-2015 11:33 AM

My favourite series was 2010 (series 7). I didn't really like the winner, or even a lot of the contestants lol, but it had the most eclectic, and sometimes unusual, mix of finalists for the live shows which made them more interesting to watch. Also, Katie Waissel is one of my all time favourites

Which one, Aiden? She was in the bottom 2 so many times  I remember at the time being so astonished every time she survived because she was so unpopular, and feeling like I was the only one who loved her lol!

Aiden the GOAT

Oh yeah, his Mad World is still my favourite performance of the whole shows run.

Great production, great vocal, great song choice, and a great Music style, and a quirky personality that made him not win.

What's not to enjoy?
