Judges should write down their vote??

Read this idea on DS
do you think after the 2 acts should sing, the judges should write down who they want to stay, and then one by one reveal their vote??
would stop crowd influencing and it being drawn out idk

mizzy25 07-10-2012 09:24 PM

wot a great idea that wud be but of course the wudnt cause headlines wud it?

Vicky. 07-10-2012 09:24 PM

I said this a few years ago IIRC.

This isn't the Weakest Link

Mystic Mock 07-10-2012 09:25 PM

They would just discuss how to cause the controversy before the bottom two even perform in the sing-off.

Marc 07-10-2012 09:25 PM

Would be a good addition

Ramsay 07-10-2012 09:25 PM

what an awful idea

Brother Leon 07-10-2012 09:26 PM

Yeah. We can also have a drum roll as they very slowly turn their card over and say the name of the person. This will drag out just as much.

Jordan. 07-10-2012 09:27 PM

What difference would it make though? Whether it's said or written down they're allowed to change their minds as tonight proved.

Mystic Mock 07-10-2012 09:28 PM

I would just re-open the phone lines for who you want to save out of the bottom two, we would then see who the majority of the public preferred then.

Wait thats such a better idea actually!
after the singoff reopen them for like 15 minutes or so..
Just get rid of one of the guest performers..

I would have the results announced at the start of the results programme, then have the bottom 2 sing straight away again.
Then for the duration of the show, re-open those 2 acts phone lines and then the one with the least votes goes.

Take it all away from the Judges full stop. After all they not only judge the acts, they mentor them and therefore have a bias towards their own acts which generally makes 2 votes from the Judges a farce anyway and waste of time each week.

reece(: 07-10-2012 10:25 PM

There's no controversy without the judge's votes. i don't see them going anywhere.

arista 07-10-2012 10:27 PM

No just do
the old boy First

That will be the Solution.

BBfanUSA 07-10-2012 11:37 PM

I heard that the German version took the singoff away all together. Just eliminate the bottom act every week.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing writing down the vote. We'll see what the american version does. They might actually do that after last year's Crowgate. (Rachel Crow's Elimination, had it was done like this Rachel wouldn't of gone home, Nicole didn't want to eliminate Marcus when it came to her)
