Giving poor contestants false hope?
 

Do you think the show/judges give the contestants false hope of having a good career in music by keeping them around like they've done with Rylan, Johnny Robinson, Wagner etc? I certainly do, for a singing show it's wrong on both parts for keeping them on.

They give alot of contestants false hope like this year they are giving it to District3 (there nearly as bad as Nu Vibe) Jahmene will never do that good, Christopher Maloney/Lucifer, and Ella will come crashing back down to earth quicker than Danyl Johnson's top of the vote in week 1 to hitting the bottom two in week 3.

"false hope" is the very shallow end of the immorality pool that is the X Factor

tbf, Jonny Robinsons' done quite well out of it, he's on this morning every now and again :shrug: i think most of the contestants are just looking for a bit of money and exposure whether or not that means getting a recording contract

I think it's worse during the audition process than with any of the finalists, most of the ones who get to the live shows realise they're a bit of a joke. I think there's actually about 3 auditions before you're meant to get to audition in front of the judges and they obviously put through the terrible people deluding them into thinking they're decent when they're only really doing it to make a joke out of them

they are doing the same with james arthur....... he is not a good singer but they build him up to be amazing

He IS amazing to some people,he IS a good singer to some people,that's the way The XFactor works ,we aren't all going to like the same person,I like Kye but I know the others are better to some people,we will never all like the same person.

Totally agree with the OP. The judges talk alot of bull about being 'real' with people but when it comes down to it they pick garbage like District 3 over Melanie. Thats giving them false hope for sure.

YES, They make a massive fuss over James, he's very dull and same old!! another Ed sheeran but more ugly and a much worse tone.

This is because they think the youngsters will market better and get more fans even if they cannot sing.
