What's the oldest thing in your wardrobe?

...I have a few things from the 80's which I never wear, but I wouldn't part with....

...are you a hoarder of favourite clothes past their use by date...or is it out with the old and in with the new....?

Kate! 15-10-2012 01:01 PM

I am a hoarder, but every so often I have a ruthless purge, something just comes over me

Niamh. 15-10-2012 01:07 PM

Generally not a hoarder, I'd say the oldest thing I have is a Dress I wore for my daughters christening, it's about 12 years old

LemonJam 15-10-2012 01:23 PM

probably the hooker i picked up back in '98.

Niamh. 15-10-2012 01:23 PM

I have a vintage 1920s silk dress, that's the oldest thing. I collect vintage clothing though so I've got quite a lot of old stuff.

Glenn. 15-10-2012 01:32 PM

The oldest thing in mine is my tshirt everyone sign when I left middle school in 2002. My wardrobe gets changed every 6 months:hmph:

My local charity shop put the clothes I donate in the window :joker:

It's a bit strange walking past the window and seeing a headless mannequin wearing my clothes :joker:

Kizzy 15-10-2012 05:49 PM

It's a white fun fur from the 60's can't bring myself to part with it.

Mystic Mock 15-10-2012 05:52 PM

Probably my England Cap that I wear when England play in Sporting events.

Shaun 15-10-2012 05:52 PM

I don't think I own anything that's older than 3yrs old

Glenn. 15-10-2012 06:43 PM

Not Dwight Yorke, but the shirt, my dad gave me it

my favourite shirt

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 15-10-2012 08:11 PM

2003 outfit I look too hot in to throw away. Even when it has holes (which I won't let happen) I will wear it and style it out.

mizzy25 15-10-2012 08:37 PM

its a black mohair type jumper with traffic lights on the front very thick and very warm think ive had it @ least 20 years and yes i do wear it when its freezing outside.

GypsyGoth 15-10-2012 09:03 PM

A grey hoodie that was my sisters, I think it's 8 years old. But there are a couple of holes in it now, so I don't wear it out.
