Here in Portugal bookies dont have even one tenth of the importance they have in the UK. I had never heard of betting shops before coming to this forum. Maybe there are some in the biggest cities, but its definetely not has widespread as there.

There's one up in the village that's like a 10min walk. That's the only one around here I think.

Theres a ladbrokes willy hills and a betfred within 10 mins walk of where i am but they are inhabited by smelly old losers i dont know why people use them any more theres no need.
On the rare occasion i bet its far easier to do it online.

They're so terrible, the smell, the dirt...
