"The retailer's parent company, Home Retail Group, made the announcement as it reported a 37% fall in pre-tax profit to £18m in the six months to the start of September. Following a review of Argos, it said it needed to invest in the business to restore Argos to sustainable growth and "reinvent" it as a leader in digital retail. A company statement said: "Argos has reviewed its store estate on the basis of several factors, such as profitability, attractiveness of location, complexity of operations and overall fit for the new strategy. " This has been on the Cards. Many stores are not able to have the stock they want so the boss of the group is going to move out of central towns in some cases. Full Plans are stretched over 5 years. So Close 2 open up 1 (in a out of town place) or worse |
There is a store near me and it is always empty. I don't think some of them are in their ideal locations.
