STD-themed cupcakes are to go on sale this weekend.

Made from vanilla or chocolate sponge, the cupcakes are topped off with 'anatomically correct' icing, representing diseases such as herpes and syphilis.

They will be sold in a shop at St Bartholomew's Hospital Pathology Museum in London.

The cupcakes from Emma Thomas are being made to raise awareness of safe sex and sexually-transmitted diseases.
