Appeal over racist rant on east London train...
 

Police want to trace a woman after a video apparently showing a passenger racially abusing people on a train in east London was posted online.

The clip, which was uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday, shows a woman shouting at people on board a busy train.

CCTV has been released by police who said the incident is believed to have happened between Woolwich Arsenal and Abbey Wood at 15:20 BST on Tuesday.

Anyone who knows the woman is urged to contact British Transport Police.

Det Insp Jeremy Walley said: "We have isolated CCTV images of a woman we believe may be able to help us with our investigation into the incident.

"At this stage, we urge anyone who witnessed this incident, or who recognises the woman, to get in touch and help us build up a full picture of exactly what took place.

"We treat all allegations of racism very seriously and urge anyone with information about this incident to contact us."

yes its racist, but really should so many police be spending so much time on this? while elsewhere drug pushers and takers are ignored, violent criminals walk the streets and reoffend 50 to 100 times, people being mugged , beaten and robbed ring the cops and they always arrive too late...I saw 5 cops arrest a man for spitting at his girlfriend recently , the cops seem to be avoiding dangerous criminals and spening way too much time or more minor crimes
