X Factor UK: Simon Cowell wants 'original judges' to return
X Factor judge Simon Cowell wants the show’s original line up of judges to return next year.
The tenth series could see Sharon Osbourne, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole ALL back on the panel.
And in a shock twist, even Simon Cowell could be making an appearance as a guest judge during some of the shows, despite signing on for a third series of The X Factor USA.
Next year is the final series in Simon’s current contract with ITV, and the tenth series to air in the UK.
“The first three series relied solely on genuine British talent and a chemistry between the judges that simply hasn’t been there since Sharon left,” a source told The Sun newspaper today. “By series three they had produced an international star with Leona Lewis and the show had real credibility.
“Now it’s just a circus freak show with the ringmaster trying to pull the strings on the other side of the Atlantic.
“If Simon can get the original judges and format back he will truly have pulled victory from the jaws of defeat.”
A spokesperson for Sharon Osbourne told the tabloid: “She is always open to good suggestions.”
However, Tulisa is said to be unhappy over the rumours that she’ll be removed from the panel to make way for either Cheryl or Dannii.
And after getting the axe from the X Factor USA after one series, we expect Nicole isn’t too happy about the same thing happening to her on the UK show too.
The source suggested: “After hearing the rumours, Tulisa is telling friends how she’s done with fame and wants to go out soon.
“She says she just wants a husband and kids and wants to be a mum with no financial worries.”
