..just some of the toy crazes over the years.....which 'must have' drove you crazy until you finally got it.......did it live up to expectations...?

The only one that really took over in the playground was Tamagotchi and Beyblade for me. Didn't care for Beyblade but I've gone through at least 8 Tamagotchi's. ****ing love them :love:

Pokemon was huge. I remember I used to just collect the cards and never actually play the game, would always throw away those element card that came in the packs.

I always wanted a slinky whenever I went to the arcades, I had about 60 <3.

I made like more that 80 of them. I attached them to my bookbag, my jeans and I made bracelets :D.

Not a toy but I was addicted to the sweet valley and babysitter club books too, think I had every one of them.

..I've possibly got the same amount...the children at school used to make them for me...

and Thunderbirds passed down from my brother

I remember everyone in primary school having a yoyo.

And all the girls in high school sat around during lunchtime making scoobies.

I always hated the pokemon phase. Never got the attraction. There'd be people so pleased with themselves when they had 100s of cards and I never saw the point.

Collected pokemon cards but don't have them any more. My sister had a Furby, it scared me.

I was more of a Power Rangers, Hot Wheels and Thunderbirds kind of kid... I had the Tracy Island set, and apparently I cried when Thunderbird 2 crashed in the TV series once. :dazzler:

As for playground crazes... we went through marbles a couple of times, and those little plastic monsters things with faces and feet... dunno what they were called. Pogs tried to take off but failed. A few people collected Magic: The Gathering cards, but I was never interested. The only things I'd swap with friends were pokemon cards and football stickers.
