Cell-push officer wins job ruling...
A Wiltshire police officer who was sacked after a woman prisoner was injured in a cell must be given his job back, the High Court rules.

jesus, look at the injury to her face

Not much there about her behaviour prior to being dragged into a cell, which leads me to believe that it wasn't exactly calm. Asleep in her car, failing to provide a breath test... would lead me to believe she could have been quite belligerent. She had a black eye... not the end of the world. Without knowing all the facts it's hard to say, but it would be a shame for someone to lose their career because they were expected to handle a drunk with kid gloves.

This is a clear case of police brutality, 60yr old woman dragged and thrown, how is this justified?
How someone convicted of an assault can be reinstated is beyond me... As she had not provided a sample of breath there is nothing to suggest she was drunk, and in my view there is no excuse for violence by officers, it is an abuse of position. There are many intelligent, well trained young people in specials and cadets awaiting positions within the police... why employ criminal thugs? |
