yeah when I applied at a supermarket, it asked what my sexuality was and I put 'would rather not say' or something

With the options being gay/homosexual, bisexual, lesbian and hetrosexual, or I'd rather not say, I doubt I read it wrong

Was it not the equal opportunities part of the form? Most applications include that sort of thing now?

I think it askes on most forms.. they say its only for the equal opportunities thing but its obviously just so they can find stuff out about you

You don't have to give that information, just like you don't have to say what your ethnic origin is.

if they are under represented by a minority group say you are one...
You may get an interview if you say you're a buddist transgendered dwarf new age traveller with dyslexia?...It's worth a shot haha!

Every job I have applied for asks that question... I didn't think it was anything new.

Omg this survey at college asked the same question and then asked if I am planning on having gender reassignment in the future :joker:

That's mad isn't it. Especially as you're not allowed to ask a woman if she plans on having a family.
