All four coaches to return for The Voice series two

...which starts in Spring 2013, sadly. The first failed decision, should've moved it back to January to avoid BGT.

'Voice' UK: Jessie J, Tom Jones, Danny O'Donoghue, will.i.am to return

Jessie J, Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and Danny O'Donoghue will all return for the second series of The Voice UK, the BBC has confirmed.

All four judges will reunite as coaches in the BBC's singing competition, which will air in spring 2013.

Jones said of his return: "I'm really looking forward to seeing and working with Jessie, Will and Danny on the second series of The Voice. I've heard there will be some important changes that will make what is already a good, strong show even better."

Jessie J said: "I'm so happy to be back as one of the original four for series two. It's going to be even bigger and better this time and I can't wait. Bring it on."

O'Donoghue stated: "I can't wait to start the search again for the hottest vocal talent in the UK.

"I had an amazing experience last time and from what I believe, this year's gonna be bigger and better, already the level of singers auditioning has gone through the roof and I can't wait for the rest of the UK to hear and enjoy all the undiscovered artists there are out there. Tom, Will, and Jessie... Bring it on guys!!"

will.i.am added: "This season is gonna be doper than last year!"

Mark Linsey, the BBC's Controller Entertainment Commissioning, said: "I am so thrilled that our four coaches are coming back for series two. All of them are hugely talented individuals and their immense knowledge and first-hand experience in the music industry makes it a line-up that is authentic and second to none.

"They care passionately about singing and all four of them will want to be the coach that discovers the next winner of The Voice."

The show's blind audition rounds will be filmed at the BBC's MediaCityUK in Salford, Manchester in front of a live studio audience in early 2013.

In August, the BBC confirmed that it will tweak the format of The Voice UK for its second series, after its first run suffered a dramatic ratings fall during its Live Shows.

The Voice UK became BBC One's biggest entertainment launch in a decade, but viewing numbers tumbled in the latter stages of the show once the spinning chairs and Blind Auditions ended.

yeah but the idea was they can nick somebody act

I wonder if they'll copy America's New Rules.

The new format for the american version has steals in the battle round, a new round called the knockout round, and live shows where a team could lose all of it's acts in 2 weeks.

Marc 13-11-2012 06:47 PM

What a shame.

Black Dagger 13-11-2012 06:49 PM

Hopefully they go with the new US format, it's actually not bad... tbh I'd rather that then what we had, more performances and fairer.

The fact Danny had the best team by far and Hannah had to leave first show was silly.

The Tom Jones show

BBfanUSA 13-11-2012 07:58 PM

I think it'll be better talent wise for season 2. More people know about the show, Etc.

More than likely since it's working in the us i bet the UK will adopt the new american format.

I'm glad Jessie is doing it again.

delighted theyve kept all 4.theyre all massive stars across different areas and different generations of music and it gives the show richness , variety and depth, really excited for the second series...the one biggest change they need to make is to get rid of holly willoughby, she hogged all the air time last year, interrupting judges and conversations with the artists and even talking over the moment leanne won the show, theres little time to play with, the best period was the first few weeks when it was just about the music and the judges, when the presenters were left in the background, thats the wya it should be, the presenters know nothing about music they just read from the dummy cards, the moment willoughby arrived the quality went through the floor.

I love the Voice, but they need to organize it better. The show has a lot of potential. And Danny is the sex!

It was almost entirely down to giving in to holly willoughby demanding more air time for herself...she was paid half a million to do the show and she 100% ruined it.

Agree. I love Holly, but she was awful in this. She needs to keep things professional and stop flashing her boobs. I don't want to see that! :conf2:

Holly killed all possible tension during the results (nobody beats Dermot in that department) and next year I think they should give Reggie the on-stage role as he surprisingly seemed the more competent of the two. He could then be nurtured into a similar style to Dermot and Holly could have the backstage, 'mum' role.

100% agree

Thanks to X Factor being terrible, I'm looking forward to this again. Glad it's the same judges as well.

I'd like to see this happen, Reggie has a good, engaging personality and would do a good job.

She better come back next year.

Hoping they go with the USA format as well.

Mystic Mock 10-12-2012 12:00 AM

I'm glad to hear that they want successful artists.

Jords 10-12-2012 05:27 AM

Needs a shake-up, live shows were a snore.

Shaun 10-12-2012 05:35 AM

fingers crossed for a tragic The Script tourbus crash that removes him from the show
