New MSN Messenger
I received an emal from MSN telling me that the new Messenger had been released, called MSN Messenger Live.
I downloaded it without trouble, but when I started to use it, all my old contacts have gone missing. Obviously I cannot remember all their contact details, so it seems they are lost for good- unless you guys can help me out? Anyone else had similar trouble? |
Thanks for the warning, i'll have to tell me brother now cause he downloads them all the time.
I'd be happy with Windows Messenger but cause he is constantly downloading newer ones, they go onto my account too. |
I've got it but haven't had any trouble with it
|
There is a virus with the new MSN they haven't sorted before they put it out on general release.
I have had the same problem. And I re downloaded 7.5. you can get this from the microsoft site. |
i was tempted to download it but glad i didnt
|
Has it got Viruses?
|
I have Windows Live Messenger, it's very modern but a little bit confusing.
|
I have Live as well, I prefer it to 7.5
|
had it since beta, i've had not 1 problem with it
|
I used to have it, but it caused my computers so many problems so I just got 7.5 again.

There's a lot of people having the same problem as you, Chris. I haven't seen anyone come up with a solution yet though. |

I use Ubuntu Linux (http://www.ubuntu.com/) and dont need any spyware scans or antivirus nonsense, i dont pay a penny for software either cos its all free. honest people you should look into switching from microsoft to linux. its free and not a security risk. Im not spamming on ubuntu's behalf, because its not out to make money, unlike microsoft..... I promise if you look into it you would never be dissapointed. you can run the whole thing of a disc to try it out without having to install it on your hard drive, its got firefox as a web browser and it makes your data very secure ( Viruses dont affect it) why pay £80+ for windows when you can get something better for free? https://shipit.ubuntu.com/ you can order cd's here and they dont even cost you a penny postage. |
