Make it a \'to save\' vote [threads merged]
 

I think surely by now Big Brother should have turned the evictions into whoever gets the least amount of votes! Once again we have lost a BIG character, i didnt like her but i wud like to see her stay and someone more boring to go.
Basically, with eviction votes it means the hated one goes, but generally the most hated is sum1 that you either love or u either hate (nikki) so she gets a BIG percentage of votes to get rid of her, and the people who love her, can't do nothing about it. Theres no way to save nikki because she's up against 10 other housemates... its good to evict the ones you don't like when its out of 2 or 3 because the people who like nikki can just vote to evict the other 1/2.. but when theres so many up for eviction your bound to lose someone great. No1 can be bothered to vote for the boring character because they don't HATE them, they just don't like them. But if it was a vote to keep your favourite eviction then you'd be sure that susie, imogen or mikey would be evicted.
Once again big brother becomes more boring by losing a big character.. o well :(

I agree, once it gets to about half way, it should become a 'vote to win' vote. As often some very good housemates can get kicked out too early.

Yep, or they should do it as an eviction when theres 2-3 up, but a save vote when theres a big group up. Anything to save the big characters

The Australian house implements a Vote to SAVE and Vote to EVICT so its all fair. It should at least be tried over here, im pretty sure it also has a better chance of getting rid of the dullards as not many would want to pay to save them. People only pay to see people go, not stay.

Exactly, because if you look at the polls. Nikki is the most wanted to be evicted, but also the favourite lol.. which means that basically the public r 50/50, 50% love her 50% hate her, if all the evictions were out of 2-3 people then she would have got to the end and had a chance of winning

We can't make it a save vote. The nature of the voting is to evict your least favourite so we get some of the favourites falling at this stage in the game.

The SAVE and EVICT thing sounds like a good idea.

yer it does sound a good idea, because then at least voters can do something about saving their favourite housemate, coz no1 can help nikki if alot of ppl hate her because she was up against so many

the system has definetley worked well in Aus, a housemate that was very much hated in the first week of voting had the most evict votes but thanks to the new VOTE TO SAVE addition, that housmate when the votes were merged was saved because while he was unpopular he was very much popular. Nikki would have been a sure thing to stay if this was done but the thing is, BBUK is usually head2head so Nikki fans usually have a target anyway to get rid of with only another housemate usually to choose from while in the Australian version, the top 3 are always up as opposed to just 2.

Yeah I agree the Vote to SAVE and EVICT system would be great over here!

But how does it all work?

Do theythe evict votes get subtarcted from keep votes?

Yeah it would be worth looking into for the BBUK team.

ive been thinking about the vote to evict senario and i think along with many people vote to save would be much better. that way we could support our favourites in a better way.

it is certain that if this has happened nikki would have stayed, and bbs big bores (imogen, mikey, susie) would have been out faster.:hello:

though i do think its a tradition that should be kept but somethings gotta be change bout it.

Yes I agree with what you are saying but I think they make more money out of vote to evict on average.

I agree, I did mention that sometime before. Voting to save would mean we'd keep all the entertaining people in IMO. I just guess that's not the way BB does it; there'd be no point changing it now really. It's tradition as you said snig1195...:tongue:

Public vote To Save and Vote to Evict. then You take the Saves away from the Evict Votes and the housemates with the highest amount of mergerd votes is Out.

How about both two numbers for each housemate one out and one in and who ever gets the most once the two are tallied out wins.

That's a bit complex though.

the UK BB aint ready for that yet! the Oz/US way is far better...

That's what I was trying to get at, but it seems a bit more complex than they would really want to go for.

You only need to vote to save if there are more than 2 people up as you then vote to evict the person you least like out of the two.

In Nikkis case last week a vote to save would definatley have been good for her as Nikki fans were voting all over the place (Suzie, ash ,Spiral)and those votes were getting diluted.

BIG BROTHER IF IT WAS VOTING TO SAVE, THEN THE INTERESTING ONES WOULDNT BE GOING!!!
 

This is a complete an utter moan!!! If big brother just changed it slightly and got people to vote to save instead of evict, then Nikki would still be there and the likes of boring imogen would be gone!!!! Hurray!! Big brother I want a reply to this, why do you vote to evict instead of save because voting to evict is making this series ****!!! so get off your backsides and do something about it
