what would you like to do over the next 5 years?

what would you like to do or achieve over the next five years? this is following on from ben (i think it is?) uk turtles past 5 year thread.

myself well 1st of all id like to get a few more hours doing this job that im starting on wed. its only cleaning peoples houses and its sort of self employed but it means i have no boss and can more or less work whatever hours i choose. as i said in another thread i lost my mother in oct so we now have the house to sell, (meaning i will inherit some money)so im hoping the house will sell fairly quickly. Then i think i may buy a new car and ive always liked audis so i may treat myself to one and of course some new clothes and stuff. I have 7 whippet dogs 4 of which race (2 good, 2 not so good) so id like to win some big races with them next year i travel a lot in england and scotland its more a hobby than anything else. my partner has recently bought a greyhound which is racing @ newcastle greyhound staduim and she had her 1st win last thurs, hes also bought a 10 week old puppy greyhound and on wed he is buying another racer. im not into it as much as him so i feel like i need some kind of hobby just for me (only i dont know wot? id also like to do some kind of course @ college and ive always wanted to write a book but i never knew what kind of book, i write a piece for a whippet magazine monthly and its all factual so maybe a factual book??? or where i used to work funny stuff used to happen all the time and i always used to say that i could write a book about that place so you never know. lol also id like to make some new friends. think thats about it lol

That is my name.

Over the next five years I would like to have travelled to every continent. I'd like to own my own home in Australia or New Zealand, gain an Australian/Kiwi passport and to still be able to travel. My aim is to get back into my writing more and start doing stuff again with it as it's been sidelined for a while.

I also hope to have met somebody that can keep up with my restless lifestyle of not being stuck in one place for long periods of time, I like the deal of using a city (like Melbourne or Auckland) as a base to always come back to.

I'd also like to think about getting married and adopting children (nearer the end of the five years).

And Mizzy, I adore whippets. I had a greyhound until a few years back, I miss her terribly.

I need to get myself back into gear and go to Uni. After that I dunno, have no intentions of ever having a regular day job, just isn't for me.

cool did u race the greyhound or was she a pet? the geryhounds we have just got are racers and live with the trainer who just lives about 8 miles away she has a farmhouse and 3 large barns with about 50 greyhounds we can go and see ours anytime we like and take them out for walks etc, but i do like my whippets they all live here.

What are you going to do at uni?

Jamie585 26-11-2012 07:02 PM

Finish my first year of a levels, and ****** off somewhere else, anywhere tbh, get into a college course, hopefully find a part time job, ans actually try to enjoy life for once and stop stressing :p

I'd like to move house (dont really want to but needs must), pass my driving test, stop smoking, return to Rome and take the kids to Disneyland in the USA.

Hmmm:
-Hopefully I'll have finished Uni and gotten my degree in English Language and Literature.
-To have finished writing my first book, and see about sending it to publishers (bit of a big dream I know but hopefully I can do it).
-To have some sort of job in writing or journalism nailed down. I know how hard they are to get but that's what I want to do.

Hmmm I'm pretty content with the way my life is at the moment tbh, the only thing I want to do is move house but other than that i'm happy.

Get a degree in Design and Innovation, hopefully move to London/Canterbury or something (or of course Paris if it's ever possible x), get a graphic designing job, and maybe go travelling around Europe or something.

Find it quite scary to think about actually, don't have a clue what I'll be doing

AnnieK 26-11-2012 07:34 PM

I'm pretty content right now, obviously would like to have won the lottery and never to have to worry about money but as long as my family are all ok, happy and healthy that will be just fine.
