I think Helen is always shocked when something doesnt go her way. I think she thought she might win even though the whole world can see she was useless in there. She seems to be bit delusional.

Saph 28-11-2012 09:59 AM

she has to make the most of her fame before it goes

'I thought I would just wear a bikini and make friends'

Viewers saw her suffer panic attacks, malnutrition and exhaustion throughout her 17-day stint in the jungle.

And Helen Flanagan has admitted she wasn't expecting her experience on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! to be so tough when she signed up to the show believing all she would be doing was 'wearing a bikini and making friends'.

Speaking on ITV1's Lorraine, she said: 'When i signed up for I'm A Celebrity I didn't take the trials into consideration because I didn't think I would do so many.

'I thought I'd maybe do one or two and thought I'd be fine. I thought I would just be in a bikini and make friends, I didn't think it would be so intense.'

She later broke down when she was reunited with her mother and pulled out of three TV interviews, leaving bemused producers with gaping holes in their schedules.

And the star's squeamish behaviour seems to have made her the target of cruel Twitter abuse, with Helen admitting she is worried she may have committed 'social suicide' by agreeing to take part in the jungle-based reality show.

News of Helen's behaviour comes just days after comedian Brian Conley was forced to quit the show after he fell ill in the jungle and was diagnosed with malnutrition and exhaustion.

ITV are now facing more questions over the welfare of contestants on the series.

Following her elimination, Helen was driven 80 minutes to the Palazzo Versace Hotel on Australia’s Gold Coast, still clinging to her mother, Julia.

She then spent the day locked inside her hotel suite with her parents before cancelling a number of TV commitments moments before she was due live on air.

The actress has been taken for a full medical check-up with on-site medic Bob McCarron and was visited in her suite by show psychologist Sandra Scott.

It was left to former campmate Linda Robson to step in at the eleventh hour to cover Helen’s absence from the Daybreak interview in the morning.

The Birds of a Feather actress has been very vocal about the dangers of the reality show following her own departure from the series on Saturday night, saying: ‘The jungle messes with your head. You get paranoid about everything.

‘Everything in there is enough to make you cry and send you over the edge. You’re hanging on the edge all the time. If I’d have stayed any longer in there, there would have been another meltdown.’

Alf 28-11-2012 10:41 AM

I wouldn't say I hate her at all, I just think she's being silly and a bit precious. I would never go in the jungle because I know I wouldn't cope well and I certainly wouldn't do any trials involving insects or spiders, she surely knew what it entailed before going in there but she wanted the money and the exposure and now she's crying like a baby because it hasn't gone her way.

i dont think its crying like a baby, its more like being in the jungle with no proper food and sleep and the pressure of all the trials and then to get voted out early would bring anyone down with a bump.

How many people have come and gone from the jungle over the last few years? And how many of them were still able to come out and meet their obligations? The vast majority. I'm sorry but she's behaving like a spoilt kid, just the way she showed herself to be while she was in there.

you say you would not do the jungle beacuse you would not cope well,
and all the trials,
here is someone who may be spoilt kid but she has still done the jungle and as you well know some people are softer than other's.

I don't believe it's about her being soft, I believe it's about her being a brat and she may behave like a spoilt kid but lets not forget, she's what, 22/23 years of age?
