Protests against Lady Gaga wearing fur.

What do you guys think of people wearing real fur? is there really any need to when so much Faux fur does the same job.
protests against lady Gaga who wears real fur often.

'Beauty Without Cruelty' members are continuing protests in South Africa against Lady Gaga's support for the fur industry.

The group have been staging various protests in the last few weeks in the lead up to the pop star's performance - which will reportedly see her donning fur - in Johannesburg this weekend.

Protests of a similar nature have previously been seen in London in 2010 when Peta members gathered outside Madame Tussauds when Gaga's wax figure was revealed.

No not like it

Roy Mars III 28-11-2012 02:22 PM

I would never wear fur personally, but it's her choice to and she shouldn't be harassed for it

Tom4784 28-11-2012 02:24 PM

Meh I don't care either way, she can wear what she likes.

Smithy 28-11-2012 02:27 PM

I think it's funny people got pissed she wore faux fur when she went to an award show in a dress made of meat

Livia 28-11-2012 02:53 PM

Unless it's on an animal, fur disgusts me.

Jake. 28-11-2012 02:56 PM

People have leather sofas so, meh, I wouldn't wear real fur but the witch hunt over it is pretty stupid imo

Saph 28-11-2012 02:58 PM

Cattle are bred for meat and leather is a by-product. There are all kinds of controls in this country to see that animals bred for food are kept in reasonable conditions and slaughtered in a humane fashion. I'll be the first to admit those guidelines aren't always followed, but I believe things are improving. The fur trade however is something quite different. Some animals and skinned while they are still alive, wild animals are trapped in such a way the wire cuts down to their bone and they could be left there for days before they are collected... I could go on but it sickens me to be honest. There are so many brilliant fake furs around, why someone would want to wear real fur mystifies me.

100% agree Livia, something may have died in agony just for the sake of someones vanity,do people REALLY think that is ok?

InOne 28-11-2012 05:07 PM

I'd never wear it and dont agree with it. Sounds horrible what the animals have to go through. You must not have a Conscience if you can do that to Animals whilst they're yelping in pain.

LemonJam 28-11-2012 05:11 PM

...I thought Gaga was vegetarian?

Agreed, and I am surprised she is freely laying herself open to mass outrage, I thought Gaga had more savvy than that. I love her music, but the meat dress also was way inappropriate.

Nedusa 29-11-2012 04:28 PM

I don't believe Lady GaGa would wear Fox or any other type of real fur , she is a strict veggie bordering on a vegan and is a staunch supporter of PETA (people for the Ethical treatment of Animals) so this thread is just starting unfounded and unprovable rumours.

I think it's a horrible thing. As Livia has already mentioned, the methods of killing animals for their fur can be horrifically painful for the creature.

That and fur is incredibly gaudy.

Marsh. 29-11-2012 05:06 PM

They're just giving her exactly what she wants, and exactly what she intended by wearing it... ATTENTION.
Just like the meat dress and everything else she does is for column inches and press coverage.
