When you like someone.

It is such a stupid feeling and nothing good ever comes from it because you just end up feeling like an idiot. I wish I had no feelings at all, things would be easier :sad:

Agreed, and i have such bad anxiety, and self esteem issues, so i just dont believe anyone would like me back lol so i just dont bother anymore

eh, it gives you character. going through life not liking people (whether it's unrequited or not) would be dull. I was in love with someone for about 3 years, and nothing ever happened, but it's probably made me better as a person - it's taught me not to expect miracles, it's taught me to value friendship more and it's opened my eyes to a wonderful world of painful, interesting, emotional art and music.

i was of the opinion you loved yourself so much there was no room in your life for anyone else.

It is quite horrible. Especially when you know you'll never ever have a chance with said person. :bored:

that's a good point. It sounds like it was tough though. I can't imagine liking someone for that long

I'm fine with being single all my life tbh, as long as I'm happy with my family I'm not that fussed

True Kazcracker, that's why I try my best just to be a womanizer as it means no hurt feelings that way if someone doesn't like you.

I get feelings for people who are unattainable one way or another. Like out of my league/ too goodlooking and other reasons. It's a pattern. Maybe subconsciously I do it for those very reasons. Then I can think to myself, well it can't/won't happen for x reason and then I don't get the rejection.

It probably sounds like bollocks lol, but I know in my head what I mean, its just strange to put into words.

I coast along quite happily mostly by myself.

The thing is, even if they do like you they'll never be perfect and you'll always get those times of insecurity, even if they're just busy you'll think they're blowing you off.

In all honesty i'd rather be immune to it all. Boring maybe, but easier yes.

While Lana Del Rey may not reciprocate your current feelings right away, love comes in time. ;)

But on a serious note, you are human and these feelings are overwhelmingly natural. There is no immunity. Sorry, pal, but unless you have no soul, love will always be there. Good luck and hang in there. My only advice is to look more closely at the good times rather than the perfection. Nothing is perfect.

That's a sad way to go through life though and lonely too. Everyone gets their heart broken at some stage but it's worth it to find someone who's right for you and makes you happy

It's not about needing someone to make you happy though Vanessa, it's about not closing yourself off to loving someone for fear of getting hurt, that's a big difference

I didn't mean it like that, Ammi. I mean i just need my friends and family. Everything else is a bonus.

At the moment i'm so fed up with men i just want to stay single. I keep meeting the wrong kind of men. :(
