The soaps - if you had total control
 

if you were made boss and giving control over each of the main soaps, eastenders emmerdale and corrie who would axe what storylines would you do for some of the actors.

i'd have gail from corrie wear a bag over her head or have it lopped off by a mad axe murderer on the loose lol.

i'd split alfie and kat up in eastenders and have him run a stall and be a dodgy dealer like delboy would be fun. and make kat a local prossie.
id axe that lucy beale and tell her to go get some food and acting lessons.

and in emmerdale id have edna have a lesbian affair with charity lol and axe that ole woman who runs the pub the one with the wig, terrable actor

Yeah I'd definitely have Alfie dump Kat and start going out with Roxi instead

Good, Kat is such a horrible slapper and Alfie is so lovely

I can't be doing with Alfie's cheeky chappy style acting. He's become a paraody of himself.

Makes a change from the usual miserable bastards on EEs though :laugh:

alfie would be so much better n more likeable if they turned him into a delboy type wheeling dealin unlucky in love type person etc. he is halfway there but running the pub and being miserable with kat just hold back what he could of been . at mo its sad.and boring

I'd start by begging the channel bosses to cut down the number of episodes.

Hour long specials, two episodes a day etc etc have run them all into the ground.
Around 3 episodes a week of each of them is enough.

I would have a serial killer storyline over a year or so in Eastenders. The victims would be Lola, Kat, Lucy, Tyler, Roxy(after her and Alfie finally admitted they loved each other) and Ian.

The reveal of the killer would be at Christmas. Not quite sure who it would be just yet. Maybe Michael

would it be too far fetched to have phil turn into a crazed zombie and eat lucy kat and lola tyler and jamie lol

or maybe a serial killer thats never caught then in corrie they mention a serial killer at large in london but now has started killing in weatherfield n it wipes out half of those as well before hiding out in the dales to start on emmerdale lol.

Axe 80% of the teenagers and focus more on the adults

Eastenders for me is almost unrecognisable from the past as a soap, I would never have killed off Pat though,I think that was a big mistake.
So Eastenders I would leave as it is now.

Corrie, I would have to write out the characters Leanne and Peter Barlow somehow.I would also wnat to get more humour going in Corrie,it is at its best when its more light hearted.

Emmerdale,I feel sad for Edna, I'd write in a good lottery win for her to cover the costs of her Dog's medical care and for her to buy into the haulage business to get her own back on Charity.

Hollyoaks, I would split Ste from Doug and have him link up with Brendan again, I would write out Mitzi and her Sister too,I cannot see much purpose for them to be in Hollyoaks now anyway.

noo way :nono: the whole love triangle is dull. Ste, Doug & Brendan can piss off, they are well past their sell by date.

i actually stopped watching hollyoaks cause of that blond girl maddie in it awful actress days of her and the other nobody's was so boring plus the ozzie guy . thankfully ive just turned back on and they have killed em off lol. guess they thought so too.
hopefully the mcqueens will go next all of them ,

A lot of people I know would like to see that happen,all 3 of them out of Hollyoaks as you say.
I find the whole saga quite humerous myself, however the Doug character is really annoying me, he would do my head in completely,even worse when his Parents arrive.

I still think there are some good stories possible for Brendan in Hollyoaks though so wouldn;t like his character to go.
