Women called "fat girls" on restaurant bill...
 

A waiter in the US has been suspended from his job after referring to three female customers as "fat girls" on their bill.

Christine Duran, Christina Huerta and Isabel Robles were dining at the Chilly D's in Stockton, California, on Thursday (December 6) when the incident occurred.

"I got the bill, I was looking at the bill [and] I was like, 'Why does this receipt say fat girls?'" Duran told ABC News.

Their waiter had apparently typed in 'fat girls' into the system as a reference to keep track of their bill.

Duran asked the manager for an explanation, but he "had a smirk on his face, like it was funny but trying not to laugh".

The restaurant demanded that the trio still pay the bill, offering a 25%, then 50% discount.

Jimmy Siemers, co-owner of Chilly D's, said: "I just want to tell them we're sincerely sorry and we'll do everything in our power to make sure this never happens to anyone again."

The only thing inaccurate about the "fat girls" description is the girls part. They clearly are adults.

Intra-restaurant profiling. Descriptions are fine, I think, as long as you're not passing them along to the customers! Should have simply capitalized the word GIRLS to avoid suspicion. "big girls" No tact, that one. :joker:

Well, erm... because... well...

Wish they would take the opportunity to do something about their lives. If I got a receipt that said "fat guy" I would not see it as an opportunity to play the victim. One, I would never eat at that place again. Two, I would take that as motivation to do something about my appearance.

Some are born fat. Some have fatness thrust upon them. And some make themselves fat.
