WTSMG to be overtaken by Adele's '21'

Aw no way....Morning Glory is an absolute masterpiece. I like adele and fair play to her but it will be a sad day for me.

Amazing album by an amazing band, if anyone was to overtake it then it might as well be Adele, she is naturally talented and is amazing live.

I can't see anyone remembering 21 in 16 years time though. Or having the lasting effect WTSMG had.

Yeah I get what you mean, but people might have thought the same about WTSMG when it became a hit.

Besides its just a different era of music I suppose

Adele '21' had a way bigger impact anyways, it sold all of that in 2 years, in 13 more years Adele will have another million on it probably

Just be grateful it's by a credible artist, regardless of your opinion of her.

Yeah my thoughts too. In an ideal world Oasis would retain the title, but Adele's better than half of the **** out there

Well obviously, it sold faster, in a worse album sales industry. It had a bigger impact:spin:

Sales isn't everything. WTSMG is one of the most critically aclaimed albums to come from the UK. And the fact that it's held onto the crown for this long says something about its impact in the industry. Adele's 21, although a good album, didn't reinvent the music world.

First of all it had never held the crown so that whole point is invalid.

eh, it's overtaken far better albums already so I'm not fussed how high it gets :p
